if I can pull the drive train out of a Honda or acura to replace the frame rails in a collision doing body work it's really simple and fun but I will admit it took me a few minutes to figure out my mini Mac lol , 45 minutes I can have the motor and tranny sitting on the ground ,, my best advice to any mechanic is think the way the engineer installed it in the factory ,, think like them it's all a modular design ,, always look and visually see what you have to do before you ever pic up a wrench , a 20 minute visual Will save you 20 worthless hrs digging into something trying to figure it out

Thankyou so much for taking the time to make this video, I picked up a Mac 140 a couple of days ago for £20, it ran ok eventually, but it was full of ancient oily sawdust, the muffler had rattled itself loose & generally in need of a bit of tlc - this video saved me a load of wasted time figuring out how to strip it, although you made it look way too easy ;)

I have had many chainsaws since the original mini-mac came out with the manual oil pump. I have owned macs, homelite, stihl, echo, husqvarna, and Poulan. The easiest to work on was the homelites in the red plastic housing. The hardest was the Macs. I never liked working on them and still don't

Thanks, this video was extremely helpful. I have an old MAC-110 from around 1976 that stopped running about 15 years ago. After taking it apart, cleaning the Carb, and checking I have spark I still can't get the thing to fire. After about 15 Pulls on on the starter I do notice the muffler getting wet so I am surprised I can't get the odd puff out of it. Any ideas for initial settings on the Low and High Needles?

When doing a carb repair on one of these Mini Mac's is there a way to test fire it outside the case? I would hate to get it all assembled to find out that the carb is not pulling or needs a metering lever adjustment. With the starter removable like this one, and a piece of fuel line, can one attempt to test without full assembly? Great Video and key tips from a guy that worked on these back in the day! I have a Mac 110. There is a hose that goes to the carb from the round plastic piece at the bottom that connects to the fuel tank. How did you fit the hose back on the carb while trying to get the motor back in the case. found a mini110 in a garbage dump the same day i put the handsaw down and decided to look for a saw to cut firewood. looked like hell must have been sitting for years, jelly in the tank, lines crumbled. grabbed it.. (regret leaving the larger homelite in same condition that was sitting there). none the less took it back to camp squirt of fuel in carb it popped n farted a few times, took it home. stripped it cleaned it replaced lines cleaned clutch up, learned how to cleanup bar and chain from buckin's videos. had to order a new air cleaner and cover. but it fires up first/second pull. cut a lil wood last summer but chain is wore out been filed down so much the teeth are bending. this summer ill pop a 16" bar and chain on and run it for as long as i can.

I have a Eager Beaver 2.0 (same as Mini Mac 100 series). It had a manual lever oiler only when purchased. I want to add a automatic oiler (P/N 216582) and see the lower crankcase already has place to accept the oiler pump. I understand the lower crankcase needs a small hole drilled for pressure to operate the oiler pump piston. Is that correct and where do you drill the hole and what size? Does anyone know more about adding a auto oiler on the manual only version mini macs?
@WestCoastMuscleSaws13 жыл бұрын
The mac 110 has an automatic oiler that is powered by the pulse of the crankcase by way of a plunger. When the auto oiler plunger or parts of the automatic oiler malfunction you will get oil in the crankcase. SK

@TheMasterTate auto sharpen is like using an extra set of hands to sharpen the chain but the way its done is there is a button near where the bar mounts to the saw that has a grinder die on the other end of it that rubs up against the chain when the saw is running u press and hold that button down while u squeeze the throttle trigger as this is done the chain will become sharp again i will show u wut i mean when get time to put up a vid about it
