I remember being in high school in the mid 80s experimenting with psychedelics for the first time and this band was always my go-to music to chill to. Love this band still to this day at 54yrs old.

These guys never had a massive following in the US... but every American fan worshiped them. Mark Burgess is a genuine musical genius. Even his spin off band "The Sun and Moon" had addictive tunes, and a completely different sound from the Chameleons.

this is soooo great. I'm so glad to be discovering this song the past week. this live version is soooo good. I really love the 85 camden one just as much, for different reasons. so many touching things happening in that video and here. everything sounds great together here years later. polished. aged like fine wine. This song means so much to me now. Thank you to the Chameleons for making it, and upload here

Looks like they're using super affordable gear for this show. One's playing a Squier Jazzmaster with P90's and the other is playing a Vintage (the brand name) SG copy. Both cost about $200. Proof you don't need $5000 guitars to sound good. Edit - Mark's also playing a Squier bass.

script of the bridge is one of the best post punk albums ever, but seems marks voice has taken a beating in the preceding uh decades. can't fault him for it though i probably wouldn't travel to see them.

i dont agree. I never knew this band. But it sounded to me something like the war on drugs. And the voices between the two lead vocalists are incomparable. In favor to the war on drugs.

Chill out, my dear. Just expressing my opinion. Like i said, i never heard about this band. I dont like the guys voice, but i really like their instrumental. And i recognize some similarities with the war on drugs. If you dont agree, just go do something productiv with your life,

Then again, it's your opinion. I love the war on drugs. I thnk it's inevitable that they will turn mainstream now. It's just the way with the music industry these days. Just look at coldplay. But it doesn't stop me from remembering the great sound they produced.
