I don’t think he is leaving PSG anytime soon. They just signed bunch of his French teammates, addressed the striker problem (since he didn’t wanted to play there), got rid of Messi and Neymar. With the amount of money and connections involved, Madrid are better off not wasting any more of their time on him

@@mcasaurusrex Exactly. Mbappe has shown that he isn't comfortable sharing the limelight. RM already have a lot of potential stars - both in terms of the sporting aspect and the marketing one. Mbappe is definitely more prestigious than Vini, Bellingham or Rodrygo. But can he really share the attention with the rest of the youngsters? And if he can't, will the rest of the squad be willing to bend to his will?

I think that before clubs were brought by rich owners and specially arab countries it was fairer, at least you are as rich of a club as you generate by yourself and from the sport. Is like building your business from 0 and making it bigger and bigger with what it generates vs buying an already stablish business and pumping it cash from your rich father and from different level of business in order to make it bigger. Is artificial and is one minute away to be a money laundry if it's not 1 already.

Worth mentioning, Marca reports that one of the reason Madrid didn't pursue him this summer is due to the overall cost they have to put to sign him, around €400M of signing bonus, add-ons, clause, etc.

@@Francisco_Otero not really, the clause will be lower than 200. Is just not possible for a non rich guy or arab country owned club to pay more than 250 for a transfer even if ti's Real Madrid. They make around 800 millions a year and their figures have to be public since the club is owned by the socios, for fp reasons, they cannot pay 400m even if they had them ready.

This primadonna behaviour ain't gonna do him any favour. Erling on the other hand is super down to earth, can be found literally roaming in Manchester 😂, in podcasts, goofing around with City officials during trainings etc. He has kept his head down, worked hard for what he's acheived so far and now is starting to clear out indivisual awards as well and deservedly so. Mbappé is innate talent, no shadow of doubt in that. But when a players tries to be bigger than club, it's player's sureshot way toward medicority. Look at Ronaldo. He already had Balon D'Or when he arrived at Madrid and when asked where you wanna play, he simply says "just play me. I don't care from where. I'm here to play". Look at Messi. He was a 9, 10, on the Wings when needed. You don't become living legend by molding an club to your vision or sabotaging the instution for your gain. You make most of what you're given. And you prove your worth and earn it. Your worth can only be demanded when you've proven yourself to be worthy of it.

I see your point, but I don’t think Mbappe is being unreasonable. PSG have been the unprofessional ones PSG built a rod for their own backs here. None of the financial issue me they face are on the player. Mbappe could have left at the end of 2022 on a free but didnt, further to PSG offering an insane contract to him. PSG had an entire year to get their act together and sort out long term options….and were strangely mystified when the player who’s openly expressed his desire to one day move…who signed a short term extension to ensure he could move, decided he wouldn’t want to stay any longer. Mbappe seems to have followed the terms of his contract. He didn’t sulk when he was dropped from the first team and continued to do his job

It’s not primadonna to use your leverage in negotiating contracts, he hasn’t done anything wrong and has had pretty much but nothing but immense success in his career so I think he’ll be fine. Haaland has done the same things but you clearly don’t know, he insisted on release clause when he joined Dortmund so he could leave ASAP to a bigger club. Why is Mbappe serving his contract and wanting to leave when it ends bad?

What is there no in public already? Neymar the party boy that couldnt handle to stay fit, because as so many Brazilians couldnt stop partying. While being outshined by a younger version of himself Season after Season, while Neymar was never been appreciated as much as Mbappe the home boy. Mbappe the immature boy, that saw the problems in PSG, but couldnt handle being 2nd Fiddle. Full of jealousy and when he was in the champions league final with PSG just couldnt score. And Messi the goat, that past his best by a lot, couldnt handle the new environment, couldnt unite the team behind himself, couldnt handle the physical challenges of the France league, all because of his quite big decline and the fact that he never got comfortable in English or in other words never went outside of his comfort zone after becoming Barcas Legend. Lets be honest here Messi shouldnt have been untouchable in PSG, specially considering the lack of pace and his lack of defensive and also offensive output. PSG literally had no chance in the champions league and lost various cups because of him. Great League player, terrible player for the squad, there was literally no chemistry with him and the other players outside of Neymar, Di Maria and maybe Verrati. Messi could have still played in Europe but only in a team with chemistry with him a thing that we didnt saw in PSG. No hate to Messi we all love him, but lets be honest you cant build chemistry when you cant connect to people, and his language skills certainly didnt help... Funny, because if he actually invested some time to learn to speak Catalan he would have had an easy time with French... Further, if he actually trained more with the team or at the club instead of alone he could have also connected better. But there was a lack of investment from him into the team.

Gotta admit, this is the best channel to get quick news facts because even this video felt like it was only a minute long. Super easy to listen to as well. The ending is always a bit of a jumpscare though sksksksksks As for Mbappe, he's really talented but he's not worth all this hassle. If he was, PSG would have won the Champions League at least once since he joined back in 2017 I think it was. He'll either become a galactico in Spain, or he'll be another Becks, or Woodgate, or Hazard, which would be a waste of his abilities considering he's only the second player ever to score a hattrick at the world cup final and the only player to have all 3 goals without controversy since one of Hurst's goals is still debated to this day

Funny thing is that Mbappe leaked his letter with PSG just as Haaland won the UCL and everyone's attention was centered on him. He wanted that spotlight on him. Even though he is skilled and would probably bring results, his self-centered motives and the way he controls his employers would make any club that would sign him turn out to be less fortunate in the long term.

@harish - also "image rights" , I think. Real Madrid requires its players to sign off 50% of image rights of the player to the club. In one vid (forgot which), it said that RM was willing to make the concession of 40%-60% for Mbappe. PSG allows him to keep 100% of his image rights. Ultimately it's about the money. But IMO if he wants to grow as a player, he needs to leave PSG and play for a diff club.

As a 20 years follower of Real Madrid, i can say with total confidence that if we got the option to decide which one we can choose next summer, it will be 100% Haaland, now i know its difficult because probably Mbappe will arrive for free ( we still have to pay 100 signing bonus to him ) but i would rather have Haaland because like this we will not block the progression of Rodrygo and Vini, i dont trust Mbappe, i really think he is a bad influence and long term he will bring problems, people thought Cristiano was a diva but at Real Madrid he never had any problem with the club, but this guy, he look like a nice guy but its worse, i hope Florentino realize this.

He is probably going to decide to stay or not with their performance in the upcoming UCL. If they get grouped or get knocked out of the round of 16, I am sure that he would leave. If they do better, he will probably consider staying. At Madrid, he doesn’t want to be an all out striker and he wants to be a left winger.

I still think he is one of the best player in the world right now, but boy am I mentally checked out from all of this. I genuinely don't care anymore. Even as a Barcelona fan, Madrid should just build their team around Bellingham. They have a great squad right now. Young, determined, loyal players, I don't think someone like Mbappe would help. I just think it would detract from the actual unit they are building. Endrick is on his way, go sign Alvarez if you can. Give him the Benzema role, you are set.

A lot of people saying he has a big ego. Maybe he does. But to me the obvious problem is not really his ego but his power to turn down any transfers PSG accept and his desire to go to Madrid. PSG surely realised they could not stop him rejecting contracts from other clubs and waiting out his contract until he can go to the club he really wants to go to, Real Madrid, for free? A team full of talent, young and old, that sorely needs a striker. He will probably peak earlier than most due to his speed being a key factor but even still, I would say ego comes into it a lot less than common sense?

Now that the dust has settled with regards to this current transfer window. I think it’s clear that the original plan he had with Florentino was 2024. Any other outcome makes no sense whatsoever. If he was after money. Why not trigger the extra year at PSG? No other club besides Saudi will come close to matching his potential earnings including bonuses etc. by him sending an official legal letter to PSG stating his intention to no trigger the extra year is clear sign he’s going to Madrid. This way he maximizes the most money for himself. The compromise that was made between him and psg was to give up the bonuses for this season while recouping those exact figures when he gets the signing bonus from Madrid. If he renews with PSG he loses money and the signing bonus. It doesn’t add up. The only logical solution from a financial and sporting perspective is Madrid in 2024.

People really tried hard to target Real Madrid in this transfer market because of this saga, while entire season Real Madrid's intensions was quite clear that they will not bid for Mbappe this season (because financially it was not possible) Fabrizo Ramono, targeted Real Madrid multiple times (to help PSG) like saying "PSG believe Real Madrid and Mbappe have an agreement for 2024." I mean you are a top journalist; how can you keep on saying this same thing again and again without any proof? I don't think he wants to leave PSG at all, he's doing all this to gain administrative power and be influential at the club because somehow he thinks that the management and ownership aren't doing the best for the club to grow, i think he wants to make PSG a true big club desired by players and fans because let's be honest, even with all that wealth and players they have they're not there yet, otherwise what could this possibly be the reason? None of the other reasons makes sense. Money? Doesn't make sense. Wanna play for Real Madrid? Doesn't make sense either. I think all of these Real Madrid Liverpool rumors are just his bargaining chips. I admire him if this is truly the case, but there is just one huge problem tho, you can't achieve that with just one club, you have to depend heavily on other clubs in your league too, like how do you make them great as well? The reason the Prem is more successful is because they have many of these so called "big clubs", and now even clubs like Brighton and West Ham are very desired, rising tide lifts all boats. Which clubs in Ligue 1 do you even go about making them big and desired? I just don't see any of them even coming close to being feasible.
