Heidy Merejo on my team (middle school team) our middle flyer for pyramid was the tallest on the team it’s because she does game cheer and is really good and has technique

Why is everyone making it a big deal that Jade is no longer flying like Eddie and Orby haven’t been replacing people for the last 6 years.. it’s 2 other flyers on this episode that is on the chopping block that won’t even be on the team if they don’t fly. Jade is valuable in tumbling and basing.. the coaches have to coach with their heads not their hearts. Jade understands I’m sure, it’s not about her as an individual, it’s about the whole team being in a solid position.

I think its more of the fact that jade is bigger than your average flyer and it would have been amazing to have this strong girl as a flyer to kinda break the stereotype of flyers having to be these small girls. Not the fact that oh they've replaced Jade! How dare they!!

@@kasee94 yeah, weight in cheer is a very sensitive topic, I'm a 120 pound flyer and I always feel like I'm too heavy compared to the 90 pound ones, but jade was the flyer I always looked up too and I was sad to see her not flying

@@teamlining7685 if a flyer holds herself correctly it doesn't matter about weight. I'm 141 pounds (64kg) and the girls on my team have no issues lifting me. sometimes smaller isn't better

They don't have enough athletes that come up through the CA program, it's too many athletes from different programs.

They used to have snipers (restricted 5) and those athletes used to progress up but now they only have assassins (level 4) so it's quite a big jump up to what's now a level 6 team. They have enough athletes in the program just not with the required skill set for smoed.

After the originals aged out it seems like kids that were making it on the team felt like they were entitled to the awards and weren’t working as hard or jelling as much as the old teams. Every season they seem to get lazier and expect to have wins handed to them

Guys showcase was a while ago and I’m pretty sure that I saw Hannah flying on Reckless, and also Jade does still get to fly a basket and it’s beautiful ♥️ Also, I’m so ready to watch Malieya’s comeback this season. She’s such a queen.

I feel like a lot people keep blaming new people for smoed not being at their best. But truth be told, a lot of the current vets need to step up on the leadership. The current vets keep blaming new people but yet none of the vets are stepping up to the plate .. these kids don’t only look up to the coaches , they also look up to the vets. Eddie , Cassie , matty, gabbi and more have this in common ... they had a mind set to pump everyone up! Keep the team on point. In my opinion I just don’t see any Captains.

Ugh, mental blocks as a flier are terrible because it’s not just having to get over your own mentality but also trusting the people to catch you after you’ve fallen and gotten injured. I ended up getting taken down my junior year because my coach gave me about two minutes to try to get over a mental block on a flipping stunt where I had gotten hurt because the cradle wasn’t caught correctly and my heel slammed into the mat. (Our coach was out that day and the guy she had covering was a tumbling coach and I wasn’t the only person who got hurt stunting that day.)

Did anyone notice at 4:50, they used Madi Corsello’s cries from season 5 when she fell off the mat and hurt her ankle, it’s somewhere in (cheerleader has crazy accident) which is the compilation episode of smoed and wreckless, but they used that over Tara’s cries when she tore her ACL!🤭🤔

Enrique makes me sooo mad. like, as a flyer, when something isn’t going right and you can swear up and down that it isn’t you, but you have a MAIN BASE who isn’t even trying to catch your foot as they dip down to come back up for the lib half. it’s so annoying

He was trying. Before he was a back spot. He even said that before they had their back spot main basing, and it wasn’t working out. They switched it around and made him a main base. It was new to him.

I think they all need a refresher. The cheerleaders do and the coaches definitely do. They’re kinda stuck on the old days. Their routines aren’t what they used to be and maybe their “tough” practices aren’t working as well for them as the used to. I think the coaches need to go back to the drawing board.
