I miss these uncle joey and lee podcasts

This is what I like to see. No bullshit comedian or someone I don't care about talking the entire podcast. Just good conversation between Joey and Lee.

Damn, this was too short. I love when he has guests, but I love it even more when it is just Uncle Joey and Lee.

this time of year is rough . no local family. not too many friends, lots of loss between thanksgiving and new years , just lay low and stick to myself. i enjoy the holidays for people who have others to enjoy it with , not bahumbug, but feel distant and isolated.

I know exactly what yo mean Uncle Joey. I always feel sad. And unavoidably depressed. Around this time of year. I think it is because the people that i love that are gone . And christmas always reminds me of them I try to keep my spirits up. But it happens everytime. I get called a grinch. I dont hate christmas. It just makes me miss the people i used to spend it with.

Joey man I lost my mom just before thanksgiving unexpectedly she was only 52 and man your description about that first holiday season is dead on. Thanks for sharing and making life just a little bit better.

This summed up my holidays....depression,anger, being alone at the age of 28 it's tough not having those outlets that you want near you just to talk but they cant be there because they have families of their own...Merry Christmas church family dont give up like I did

This episode made me feel like I'm not alone... Monday December 10th of this year my grandmother passed away. We buried her the following Thursday, 5 days before Christmas. This year was the absolute worst. But I mean, these things happen. we have no control over who we get to hug and who we never get to see again. I just wish I could hug my mama Sara & tell her how much I miss her..

This winter has been the hardest for me.. my anxiety and depression really ramps up once it gets cold and most bad things that have happened within my family have always happened in the winter. Thank you Joey for starting off the podcast with acknowledging that a lot of people (including yourself) have a hard time around this time of year. And like you said, you always faked the funk until you realized that you aren't the only one feeling like this. Lost my grandpa passed from Terminal Cancer in the beggining of the year so not having him at the table was very hard. I feel you on so many levels joey, thank you.

I feel guilty every christmas and the only people I know that feel that way I have lost someone. I just dont feel happy at Christmas and it's really nice to know someone else has the same emotion about the holidays. Love you guys. You save me at work every week.

Lee i love you, there's no better way to think of the holidays, no body likes the cold, no one likes being broke or bad gifts but, everyone loves company and if you can share a smile or laugh then to me at least, thst smile or laugh is the best gift anyone can give/get. There's almost no other memory that keeps the heart warm than joyous moments spent with others. peace and respect brother!

Nice to listen to something that's not unbearably festive for an hour! I'm definitely adopting Joey's system of a 'secret notebook' for keeping a diary and some thoughts too. My grandpa did the same and I remember finding it just after he died - it was literally the only thing that cheered my dad up at the time and one of the few things he hung onto. Even if your family never find it, or don't care, it's not like you ever have to find out either!

I've never been a holidays guy but this year hurts. Battling cancer and was stuck in the hospital during Christmas couldn't see my daughter and family and friends. This podcast really helped
