Killer song, so catchy and fun. "Ridiculous innit?" Lovers Rock was also a style of reggae from the UK that was popular in the late 70's.

Back in the day, I didn't like The Clash because it wasn't Black Sabbath. ( I was OK with Jethro Tull not being Black Sabbath, though. And sometimes even Boney M - mainly because a mate of mine who loved them above all else would sing, "Raa Raa Raaskataaan" instead of whatever it was Boney M sang. And no, I don't know why that made it great for me. Hmm. I didn't always mind Suzi Quatro not being Black Sabbath, either. And Bob Marley. So maybe I was not as narrow minded as I've gone and misremembered. But I didn't ever get into The Clash. Had to listen to it quite often, because I had mates who thought it was all right, and played it, but it never really did anything for me. Could still just be because I wanted some Black Sabbath out of them, and they didn't get close to that, though.) It's OK, I suppose. I quite like the actual London Calling song, so it's just some songs I've not done enough to get into.

The Album London Calling in my opinion is the best Album of all time, the song itself would be easily a top 5 hit if it was a single, every track on that album would be massive hits, the only band that matters

A slower exploratory beginning followed by a faster, rhythmic, pulsing ending. I can't think what it's supposed to represent......

Copy and paste my comments from previous tracks on this album. This too just isn't very good yet the album often features in 'Top 100' lists. I really don't know why.

I'll say for the record that double albums pretty much always fail, and I mean regardless of genre (just so you know I'm not being biased in that way). From the Beatles to Zepp to Genesis to this, I just feel that the double disc format is too damn long to 1) be high quality throughout, and also 2) hold the attention of the listeners.
