Yeah, Dooku is one of the most accomplished schemers and master manipulators around, so good in fact that he was almost as good at it as Sidious. So its kind of hard to seem him being so dumb. Then again, fun as this cartoon is, it wasn't very faithful to his character and just kind of made him, well, cartoonishly evil.

All of them are played by extras and their deaths aren't really the focus of the shots or they are already lying dead on the floor. But you can see that at the beginning of the fight that there are a lot of Jedi and at the end there are only a few. The C3PO scene is more about him being silly rather than the Battle Droids being silly.

I'm glad he's talking about all the characters that got assassinated by this show, but I really hope at some point in Part 2 he talks about Grievous, because he got done the dirtiest of all IMO. Legends Grievous is a freaking badass that could fight several Jedi at once and had a deep, tragic backstory. TCW Grievous is a moustache twirler with no depth that can't even defeat a single Jedi without help or resorting to trickery.

Just gonna point out that Katie Lucas (yes, that Lucas's daughter) was given the job of writer for these episodes after she wrote a past one before turning 18. It's cool that they got to work on Star Wars together and all (like I know if I had a TV show and a kid I wanted to spend more time with using it then that'd be tempting) but like- maybe a cowriter position would've been more productive to start with?

So my view on the Talzin problem: I think that the show implies that she had Dooku’s hairs from their previous encounter. I think we are ment to presume that Ventress wanted to kill Dooku herself and Talzin was only going along with it because if successful that would weaken sidious position, while her true scope was to have ventress find savage (why couldn’t she do that herself is theorised further in to the comment) to avventually get Maul back and form a kind of squad of descendants of dathomir to take on sidious. I think that the only way this truly works is if Talzin cannot leave the night sisters’ cave’s area otherwise she would disintegrate and be forced in the green mist form. Form that she assumes willingly to escape grievous the first time. When she did try to kill Dooku in season 4 she was using the trick she had up her sleeve the entire time and that would have been otherwise used in a more favourable occasion. After that she creates and uses the cult in season 6 to steal souls (I assume that what she needs is force potential) and have her phisical form back. When jar jar (don’t get me started on how stupid that was) defeats her by destroying the soul container she is forced in to the horcrux stone on dathomir. When she becomes phisical for the last time is thanks to Dooku force potential. When at the end she gets killed (a waste in my opinion as she could have been sidious enemy during the empire era) its because she has no where else to run, if she turns back in to mist the lighting would have destroyed her and if she got back in to the stone sidious was right there and would have destroyed her as well and in both cases Dooku snd grievous would have probably followed Maul so she was left with the option of keeping up her defences and keeping all for sidious team focused on her to give Maul time to escape. This is never openly explained anywhere to my knowledge but it’s the only way that this madness could make sense.

Vader couldn't sense his own daughter in front of him because he had no knowledge she was his child to begin with. Obi-Wan and Dooku were not aware of Maul's survival - your reasoning is contravened by the films as it concerns the mechanisms of Force sense. Why should Obi-Wan and Dooku hold such power to the extent that they could sense Maul's pathetic existence on a junk planet? Do you have any precedent for this? So, clearly TCW isn't at fault. I do think that your ideas are better but it doesn't change the fact that there's another way to use the lock of hair. You could make the excuse for some of the ideas presented that it would alert Dooku to the fact that the Nightsisters are trying to kill them, or that Ventress wants to kill Dooku herself, but for this idea, you can't say either of those things because Ventress can kill her while he is weakened and Dooku seeing Ventress and turning Savage Opress to her side pretty obviously shows the night sisters betrayed him.

This clip alone really highlights a significant problem with TCW - the lightest amount of thought as to what's happening, immediately kills investment. I can get the idea that there's implied (but poorly communicated) time between Dooku betraying Ventress and then Ventress going to attack Dooku with the other Nightsisters. But the show basically says that Talzin immediately calls him up and goes "Hey, I just know that you got attacked somehow, want a bodyguard?" It reads like a mafia trying to run a protection racket in the worst film imaginable. This is also an intelligent character who was a Jedi - he knows that assassinations and by extension poisoning opponents with a DART is not the Jedi way. There's absolutely no reason to assume that the people who attacked him are Jedi, even under the haze of being drugged. Plus he beat the snot out of them, even when drugged. Odds are, things aren't going to fair much better for the Nightsisters on repeated attempts in different ways. Just... Stupid. There's no intelligence or effective writing here at all. The characters aren't characters, they're cardboard cutouts that are thrown on screen and pushed around with pulleys and ropes to try and make it seem like they're the real thing.

It wouldn't be the Jedi way if the dart was lethal, perhaps. Nonetheless, I disagree with this criticism. Especially when you could argue this for any Star Wars film. @OKMBVideos
@OKMBVideos 2 ай бұрын
@AshanBhatoa you can't say "Battle of Hoth though" and not follow-up with what that criticism would be. The Empire could have used aircraft, but until the shield was down, the base was effectively unassailable from space/air. What format that shield takes is not shown, but Vader seemingly indicates that the shield prevents anything other than ground assault from working. Additionally, Vader had a vested interest in capturing Luke/Rebel leadership to find Luke. Leveling Echo Base doesn't help him find Luke. As to Yavin, what's death squadron? Is that in the movie? If you're referring to Echo Base, the Empire was intending to capture the Rebels fleeing using the Star Destroyers. The Star Destroyer's were then disabled by the Ion Cannon.

Im really curious to know what peoples perception on Count Dooku was before this show. I ask this cause i recently watched a vid by Eckharts ladder talking about the misconceptions of his character. I see a lot of people saying how this show "ruined him by making him into a "mustache twirling" villain, instead of leaning into his persona of the noble gentleman. Im not a legends guy, so forgive my lack of knowledge, but it seems Dooku was still an evil bastard in legends, even more than he is in canon. I get that he uses his gentleman persona to trick others in-universe but it seems that worked in the real world as well (ill admit i thought this as well for a long time) . At the end of the day, He's a sith, (one named Darth Tyrannus/Tyranny). I dont think him being just evil ruins his character since at the end of the day he is, but im curious to hear why others think otherwise.

It very much does. Eckhart completely ignores where Dooku started and why he became a Sith in the first place. Was Dooku an evil character, yes. But he was convinced he was doing the right thing for the rest of the galaxy and his time as a Sith lord did bother him to a degree on how many bad things he had to do. This is showcased in the Darth Plagueis novel, Dark Redenvousz, and Labrynth of Evil.

The path to hell is paved with good intentions - the good intentions and motivations Dooku had does not negate what Dooku was - a Sith Lord. @@AshanBhatoa I would recommend reading both Dark Rendevouz and Labyrinth of Evil as those give the most depth to Dooku's characterization in the old EU. Darth Plagueis also gives good insight. However, I never denied what Dooku became as time went on. I am saying that his initial motive in turning was not rooted in evil intent. Yes, by the time of the Clone Wars he became a far cry from the man he once was. But even during AOTC, while he was far gone, his redeeming qualities were still present as he at least was still trying to present mercy to the Jedi and the evil actions weighed on him. It really was only by ROTS that he truly became an irredeemable monster.

One thought that I’ve had for years, that was reinforced in rebels and really hammered in in Ashoka is how conceptually flawed and world breaking the night sisters are. You might like them (I really don’t) but you have to admit how bad for the universe they are. Dark side wielding night witches that can resurrect people (which is a big deal in star wars), turn them into zombies, and become ghost that unlike force ghost, possesses people. And they span farther than to star wars galaxy. I hate Dathomire and it ruined not only Fallen Order, but all the episodes on it in TCWs and Rebels. And it’s so inconsistent, contradictory, and bizarre even for fucking star wars that I am surprised it even got out of the concept room. I don’t know if it was a book, comic, or Clone Wars that introduced them but fuck whoever’s idea it was. My family and especially myself were pissed not only at how bad Ashoka’s show was but especially the night sister and the zombies. I hate it, it’s bad storytelling, it’s awful world building, and a fucking disaster.

Wasnt the point that ventress wanted revenge, and she was the one triyng to kill dooku? And if mother talzin used that hair against him for ventress' revenge dooku would have known it was talzin ( as he did know when she did use it ) and send grievous to destroy the clan before he actually did in tcw, which would be talzin's fault and the sisters clan is all about loyalty to each other, which would make her a "traitor", because she brought the clan to its doom, imo it was a lot safer to help ventress carry her revenge and dooku possibly thinking that she wanted to kill him or that the jedi wanted to kill him instead of making the whole clan responsible for it which would lead to their demise, sure if she did use the hair, dooku would have died before the invasion got to dathomir, but it would still have come nonetheless and the sisters would have nothing to bargain, or to discourage grievous from invading. Honestly the Night Sisters were one of the worse things introduced by Dave (to my knowledge they were introduced in Clone Wars). They basically break the force as a power system, and their inclusion is always to the detriment of the story. Another example of Feloni's "oc do not steal" energy.

Yeah, Besides the Fact the Sith are Arrogant its kind of their thing. They kind of assume they are top dogs and while they suspect one day these people might betray them, its not something they thought about at the time. I can follow the logic even though for a kids cartoon it kind of doesn't track if you aren't overthinking it like me. I can see Dooku being Arrogant enough to give his hair as payment for something, not connecting the Dots of a Jedi strike team trying to kill him, and Talzin 'seeing all' as somebody he'd dealt with.. and lets face it.. if they weren't stupid they would've taken him out on planet- they just end up putting a target on their backs and don't even kill him after all's said and done.
