The Cloverfield monster known as Clover, or Clovie, is one that is actually an infant if you can believe it. This creatures towers withe skyscrapers it destroys as it picks up people running underfoot and eats them. Theres alot of confusion about where it originated and what are the parasites that drop off and attack people. Well lets break down the lore and biology of this creature and discuss where it comes from, and how large it can actually get!
Thank you for watching Roanoke Gaming and I Hope you enjoy The Cloverfield Monster Explored | Including analysis on the parasites located on the skin

This is kind of a weird compliment to be giving a movie, but the reaction of those crowds looks super realistic, like buildings are actually exploding and stuff. The time at which they start running, the patterns they run in. On point. 👌

buildings are very unlikely to explode unless there certain types of buildings, and also regardless of how big a creature is, a tank round isnt just going to piss it off, its going to take out a chunk, and if its durable enough to not get penetrated, then that whole part of the body would shatter because its too hard, samuel colt made all humans equal, abrams made all life equal

@@stormjin2242 The funny thing is, the concept of kaiju having weird side effects from being blasted apart is as old as kaiju movies themselves, with The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms having a pathogen in its blood that makes it tricky to kill without also spraying an area with a sickness. It would've been kinda neat if there was a movie where the kaiju dies in the first or second act, but the parasites living on it end up causing long-term problems. 🤔

One thing I find really.. confusing (to say the least) is that Saliva in sea creatures especially insects, when they bite you and inject this saliva, they are extremely painful depending on how much saliva was injected so considering that the girl that got bit from the creature that INJECTED SALIVA shouldn’t be in extreme pain, but in pain so great that should leave her crying IN PAIN on the ground? Or even kill her of how great the pain is unless she can endure the pain then yeah she’ll live but I still think she would be crying in pain on the ground , even I as a man I genuinely don’t know if I could endure such pain like I experienced saliva injection pain but only a small amount a microscopic amount, but the amount that those small creatures in the movie injected is not something I consider endurable as far as I know. I mean.. if I saw this in a movie that is supposed to be realistic (not Cloverfield)…. let’s just say I wouldn’t be surprised.

Fair enough, the big monster in Cloverfield is an ugly bugger, but at least you'd know he was coming. As for the parasites, they are one of the creepiest, nastiest ideas anyone has dreamt up in a long time. As far JJ, yeah it was not stealing, he literaly saw the first Gojira movie and tought would be cool to create a american equivalent to it, a monster to represent a national tragedy, Gojira is about the nuclear bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki (the director and producer of the first movie saw first hand the bombing), Cloverfield is kinda a 9/11 alegoric despite being a lot less thematic than Gojira.

Regarding the issue with such a gigantic creature walking on land, this monster is also a deep-sea monster. The difference in pressure alone would kill it. The famous ''Blobfish'' pictures that were popular memes back in the day are actually examples of what happens to deep-sea creatures when they are brought into surface level.
@hellcatdave1
@hellcatdave1 Жыл бұрын
I think Clover may actually have an exoskeleton of sorts, which would help with deep-sea pressures and also pressure on land. However, I don't like arguing physics when it comes to monsters this size since we literally have no idea what their skeletal structure, let alone the composition, is. All of those deep sea creatures that die being brought up to the surface are soft-bodied, whales are rigid but definitely not structured to survive either.

As an 18-year-old, I kinda realize that the protagonists and side characters are stupid for saving one ungrateful ex of the protagonist. I notice this in many movies where the main dude saved his ex, his friends die, the ex's bf dies, and they are happy together? I actually cheer on the characters who flee for their own lives. I reckon the monster and its parasites came from an alternative world (earth or other) when the events of the cloverfield paradox occurred. The paradox event likely phased the monster from it's deep ocean into our (movie) world's ocean, and then remained hidden for a long time before being discovered and disturbed, leading to the first movie. The monster might even be from a time that is ancient or far into the future, but brought to the present time of the movie when phased between dimensions. The adult seen in the paradox movie could have a similar story, but local to that version of earth. Hopefully the 4th cloverfield movie will shed some more light. It's very exciting stuff.

I mean this is us assuming the Army used AP ammo on Clover at all. We can clearly see they are firing an M109 (in the street scene it's actually a British Abbot being a stand in, later in the film an actual M109 gets stepped on) which was most likely loaded with fragmentation or HE rounds. Again, expecting small arms to do much to a creature this size is unreasonable, however if the military assumed HE would be sufficient, it's entirely possible that they all left base loaded up with primarily HE rounds. Not to mention, even with APFSDS we have no idea what the physiology of this creature really is. For all we know, and for suspension of disbelief, it is entirely possible that most shots either miss Clover entirely (due to the frantic nature of a giant creature shaking the ground and moving exceptionally fast) or hit a non-vital area on it.

Using nukes would have made the Island uninhabitable, and regular ordinance was having no effect, so they resorted to Bunker Busters. Did you even listen to the video? He even confirms that the monster is dead via the director. Not to mention the thickness of the skin to survive the depths of the ocean. In fact, the parasites should have bitten that girl in half if they used the same bite strength they use to pierce the hide of Clover. Unless they all are able to find a place where the tissue is a lot thinner or it took multiple bites with specially evolved teeth to pierce. Those bites on the chick are probably WAY deeper than they appear and she's lucky, at least for a little bit, that they didn't pierce a vital organ.

I wish we'd gotten a proper sequel to Cloverfield. I'd love to have seen a more 'realistic' portrayal of a giant monster apocalypse. Godzilla is fun but him becoming a superhero that just fights other monsters to protect the world never feels real. A giant monster like this stomping around would be apocalyptic. Especially if there were more than one. They could have made a good series of films showing different groups of people trying to survive a world where this thing exists and has brought down society.

It kinda depends on which Godzilla movie and series you watch. Some versions of Godzilla tried to destroy cities just because and had to be killed by the military. Plus, giant monsters fighting each other isn't too out of the ordinary especially when we look at normal animals who fight each other for territory or mates.

@j and the first Godzilla film came out in 1952, coincidentally 7 years after Japan got nuked. also movies take a long time to make my man. Writing, pre-production, filming all that jazz. I don't super know why you think 7 years is long enough that major events dont effect the artists involved but believe me, a lot of Americans were still thinking about 9/11 less than a decade later

I feel like this movie is pretty underappreciated. (NY times called it a "feature-length gimmick.") I really enjoyed it, yet literally everyone I know disliked it if not hated it. Thought it was dumb and uninteresting. This video perfectly encapsulates the intrigue I felt when watching the movie. I wanted to know more about it, why/how the monster existed. What were the creature that fell off it, where they it's babies or other creatures? Why did that woman explode after being bit. The movie gave me a odd sense of surrealism. I felt grounded in its reality. I don't watch many movies. So maybe it's just because I had already low expectations, but this is one of my favorite films.
