It is not a terror movie, perse, is a drama with a very terrifying situation. I think we are so used to the same plot in every terror movie that we think this is a boring or bad movie. I loved the movie, as the director said in an interview: "I am not scared of monsters, ghosts or zombies, they don't exist, but this, could happen to anyone, that's scared"

I'm all for movies that include real life horror. I feel like people narrow it down to only supernatural elements and that's simply not the case. I thought the initial incident created a lot of great tension, but I didn't think it continued long after and the ending was a bit underwhelming. I'm glad you enjoyed it! I wad hoping to like it a lot more than I did.

I’m glad we didn’t get so much more 😂 movie was perfectly bleak and wasn’t meant for a satisfying payoff…that’s what makes it so powerful.

Yeah the movie fell flat for me after the (only) sequence of true horror. The rest felt more like a watered down version of the anxiety play we saw in Beau Is Afraid. I couldn't understand how so many people found it unspeakably disturbing.

It was such a great idea, but the director had no idea how to sustain the tension. Most of it was mundane dialogue. I'm surprised as well how many people think its really disturbing.
