@SharksSJ408 I think there is a possibility the words "time capsules" was a metaphor.. For instance, ships in trouble, i.e. sinking, crates, barrels, and other containers carrying goods were thrown overboard in an attempt to save the ship and its passengers. Since time immemorial ships were relieved of those contents and are lying somewhere at the bottom of the sea.

Fake. Each containers have 4sides of corner-casting interlock rigidly to one another by 4 twist-joint. Cannot be detached in air, unless slam into some solid ground.

This is CGI from someone I can't remember right now, but right where the bulk of the containers fell rises a sea monster larger than the container ship itself a few seconds later, that's what caused the large wave build-up.

I would collaborate on something like this. Only possible downside would be the logistics and cost to pick them up, and the condition of everything inside. Probably more expensive than would be worth it. Great idea though!

Containers would cost much more wnd profits from ships like these would decrease as the extra mass and size will do any or all of the following: 1: use extra fuel- bad for the environment and costs more money 2:have less containers on board because of the bigger container size, causing less profit 3: adding on to what you said, we would have to design special boats to retrieve these containers as well

There are some container ships that are to long and deep and wide to go through the Panama canal. They were working on making it deeper and wider to allow them to use it. They have to sail around the world to get to some locations.

Guess it wasn’t lashed correctly and probably also a case were the shipper (customer/ cargo owner) ignored the VGM. But in general container lashings are meant to open and let containers fall overboard in rough seas to guarantee vessels stability
