HU - U KNOW!! Howard - Taraji graduated from Howard University an HBCU. Someone in the audience knew and started our chant (HU - U KNOW) when she was about to take her seat. She picked up on the call and response signal to her, so with a hearty YOU KNOW she completed the chant. Looove Taraji! Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther) had the same thing happen to him at an awards show. He also didn't miss a beat and completed the chant.

She just comes across as ghetto and ungrateful. She needs to quit complaining. She probably makes more in a year than you do in 10. Don’t feel sorry for her. She’s whining about getting hundreds of thousands of dollars or more when the overwhelming majority of actors are lucky to get $50k for a project. Ain’t nobody studying those crocodile tears.

It's sad how any organization the serves Black people - will protest the truth about who has and what does go on in Black communities. There is a lot of love in our communities - and there is lot of harm. And like it or not - that harm is mostly coming from one group of people - who we are not allow to hold accountable. Black women and communities are constantly under attack and we are supposed to be silent it about it. It is no different than how white folks expect us to remain quiet about the harm, violence, destruction they have historically perpetrated and continue to perpetrate and benefit from.

I can't count the numerous times I've read it since then. I haven't been fortunate enough to see the stage play. Till this day, both book and movie are my all time #1's. When it FINALLY CAME OUT ON VHS, MY PARENTS BOUGHT THE MOVIE FOR ME AND I DROVE MY SIBLINGS CRAZY RACING HOME TO GET 1st DIBS ON THE TV (WHICH I WON MOST OF THE TIME BECAUSE I WAS A TRACK STAR AND NO ONE COULD OUT RUN ME LOL) AND WATCHED IT EVERYDAY UNTIL I MOVED AWAY FROM HOME. #ColorPurpleDieHard

I would have personally made sure you had the best food, room and board, security and whatever you needed. Why did this CAST have to be treated the way they were. The whole setup should have preceded them. From the time they started to work for me, the only thing they would have had to be concerned about was giving me their best Oscar winning PERFORMANCE. Leaving zero room for scandal. What kind of set were they on, the ghetto set. That’s what it sound like. They deserved much better. Peace love and light.
