I love my Companion Bible so much that I won't use any other Bible. I became familiar with it through Shepherd's Chapel. The notes and outlines Bullinger employed are second to none. An excellent Bible across the board and a reference lovers paradise.

What is especially interesting to me is that the emphatic pronouns are marked with different font in the Greek NT. That makes a huge difference in how to interpret the English text.

I've been reading from this version for years now. E.W. Bullinger was an amazing guy. Quite honestly his education level was nothing to brag about although he was educated. My understandings are he mastered the Hebrew language, if anyone actually is able. The things I find most interesting is the articles in the back that identify 129 Hebrew words that the scripture pass over not knowing how they worked within the text. Like notice how the word "And" is capitalized in The King James addition in the creation story? Bullinger identified it and explains why it's capitalized. There're also several articles about his misinterpretation of scripture, of course everyone has a problem there, except me 😄. Like most things you need to eat the meat and throw away the bone. Anyway, just really informative learning tool. It's my daily reader.

I managed to read the old Schofield study bible but got a bit overwhelmed with the Thomas Nelson but managed through most of it n.t, firsr then most of the o.t.

This reminds me a little of the Dake Bible in some ways just a little more complex looking
