Hardcore shipment or “shoot the ship” was the best thing that happened this game when it commes to finishing camo challenges

The longshots are what's killing me

For people having trouble with smg longshots go into hardcore with a thermal and smokes. No one firing back at you and kill time is good enough to where you can challenge people.

I recently unlocked Damascus and I wanted to share the way I did it because I feel like I did it in one of if not the most efficient way(s). So I took all the ranged weapons that required long shots, so the Ars, Smgs, Lmgs, Marksman rifles, and snipers, and I went and upgraded each weapon and got the long shot challenge ONLY done for that weapon and then I moved on to another weapon. (Mind you it was shoot house 24/7 and there was 2xp so it was much easier) I didn’t do the pistols and shotties because long shots with those are extremely easy, after that I just went back and completed the rest of the challenges for those weapons which took little to no time at all. So my tip would be to upgrade EVERY weapon first so that you get that out of the way and do the launchers simultaneously as you’re completing other challenges, don’t be like me and have every weapon done and now your sitting in the back of your spawn with a PILA going 6-39.... I hope this helps someone (P.s it only took me 9 days in total to get Damascus and prior to grinding for it I only had 4 guns gold the M4, Mp7, 725 and The Mk2 Carbine, ALSO utilize the small maps preferably shipment)

"Snipers and marksman rifles will have the longest longshot distance" This is wrong, Marksman rifle longshots are the same distance as ARs. Xclusive Ace recently put out a pretty good video on this, I'd recommend checking that out

Hard? No. Overly long and tedious, most definitely.

For some reason, personal radars and counter UAVs count as aerial AND ground streaks, so the splinter camos are actually relatively easier. Also, my tip for the launchers is to level them up all the way to 31 and complete all of the kill challenges, THEN destroy streaks, you will have 6 challenges that will all progress at the same time as you’re shooting down streaks. Best streak to destroy by far is the personal radar. It counts for all six streak-related challenges.

Hard-core domination is great for pistols because they're either 1 or 2 tap, that's how I got the x16, .50 cal, and the renetti

according to my calculations the term “camping” is where you stay the night in a secluded area where you survive with the resources you may find around you. BUT in this game i find that people killing you because they are better and you just keep running into there bullets just make them “tactically observing”

Personal UAVS also count towards ground streaks only those for some reason but those are the easiest to find in normal lobbies. EDIT- Just unlocked platinum launchers and I just found out that counter UAVS also count towards ground streaks.

For me it took me about 3-4 hours to get a gun gold. The pistols and knife took me less than 2 hours, but for launchers like 12-18 hours. I just played hardcore shoot the ship the whole time and my main strategy was to focus on a specific camo (like splinter, stripes) as soon as I unlocked the camo challenges. For launchers I'd hop into ground war and for spray paint on launchers I'd go into HC shipment and just melee people the whole time, it's way faster than to wait for your missile to lock onto a target. ✌🏻

Came back to MW to finally do the Damascus grind cause I was too into warzone to play multi during its life cycle. Honestly I’m almost done and it’s not as bad as DM ultra easy challenges but a lot of them. My favorite was the vangaurd grind for sure minus the Panzerfaust lol.

What about for riot shield kill 3 without dying? I am struggling with that, is there any advice for that?

I’m stuck on launchers now, I literally have everything else platinum. I think they made it on ground war so you can’t refill your rocket ammo anymore. So it’s taking forever:(

I don’t even have any Gold guns. Long shots are what get me. I have to change my play style to do most of these challenges. I’m a rusher/flanker player. I can’t stand a stationary/head glitch opponent.

a suggestion i have for long shots is too 1) see if the gun one shots to the chest from one end of shoothouse to the other 2) if it does put on a thermal and use smoke grenades and cold blooded and go for kills on the enemy’s wall (this will get you mounted kills too) and 3. if it does not one shot to the chest do the same thing but go specifically for headshots as a headshot will always kill in hardcore. if you prefer you can also use a variable zoom scope instead of a thermal and choose not to use smoke grenades, this works better for me on certain guns, it just depends on how the gun feels to you

One of the things that helped me a lot with hipfire kills was using the shortest barrel, no stock, 5mw laser, a bigger mag, and merk foregrip. This was only viable in hardcore but I was able to kill people from wall to wall on shoothouse while hipfireing and this just seemed really op to me. I was able to get all 75 hipfire kills with the AK in one hardcore hq game on shoothouse. I tried this same method on all my ars and it worked on basically all of them besides the famas and the fal. I highly recommend trying this if you are having trouble with the hipfire kills on the lmgs as well.

Shoothouse is actually the best for Longshots. Just go HC HQ on Shoothouse and spend the entire match on that hallway. If you're lucky and your aim is decent, enemies will keep challenging you or even spawn in front of you (it's cheap, I know, but it works) and you'll be racking up longshots after longshots. I got up to 60 longshots in a single match doing this, though it's hard to get a Shoothouse lobby without Shoothouse 24/7...

What they don’t tell you is once you get Damascus, there’s like nothing to do so it’s a little underwhelming. The riot shield wasn’t as hard as I thought it was going to be and the weapons I had the hardest time with by far were the launchers. They weren’t as hard as they were tedious cause you can go whole games where no one on the enemy team uses a killstreak or where someone else shoots them down before you. And the knife was super easy, I finished it in one day but that’s only cause shipment was available. And the easiest classes to complete were probably the pistols and the shotguns. The snipers can be a bit of a pain cause of the long shots cause there are counter snipers everywhere in ground war. And the assault rifles took forever cause their numbers are a lot higher than any other class.

When you do knife I did most of it in core for me it was a lot easier since there is alot of hitmakers and knife is one shot

A bit of advice for people just starting, do launchers with regular weapons, slowly get them as it will take a while to get enough enemy streaks (depending on your luck it could take almost a day game time) so always have a launcher as your secondary and shoot down any enemy streaks. It takes one second in a game and it will save you so much pain if you only have secondaries left at the end.

great video! only got 2 gold weapons so far but i’m close to getting the ak, rpg, and then oden done! RPG has been my main secondary for over a week but only recently did i start trying to do its specific challenges, and they are quite hard haha (i keep missing enemy UAV’s because they move)

Don’t know if anyone has said this yet but I noticed that the 3 kill streaks for Skulls carries over in between games. For example if you go on a 2 kill streak at the end of game 1 and then on game 2 you get another kill, it will count as a 3 kill streak.

You should update this guide to just say "if youre doing ars, smgs, lmgs, or sniper longshots go to shoothouse and if youre doing anything else, go to Shipment Extended" The end.

I've actually never unlocked a mastery camo for all weapons in any CoD...have only dabbled in weapon class mastery in CoD4 Remastered. I think I'm going to do it in MW. Time to man up!!!

Believe it or not but when shipment 24/7 was a thing I played the hardcore version of it. I got shotguns platinum. All 4 in one day taking me only roughly 2 hours a gun. I never worked on shotguns before so for me to get them all level 2 or so to platinum in ONE DAY was crazy. I did almost the same with pistols but took me 2 days

At the beginning I didn't like camos, seemed nerdy. But, now it's really addictive. I thought obsidian was time consuming, so wrong...ooooohh let the grind begin.

I got platinum melee and smgs only im working so hard for the last launcher and the AR's and the rest is history

Unlocked Damascus about 2 weeks ago and not going to lie that shit burnt me out lmao.

I agree with the madman strategy he stated for the hipfire kills for lmgs. But to go a little more in depth, do hardcore shipment and spray. Spray the entire time and don’t stop. Don’t even stop to reload, it’s faster to respawn

The funny thing bout kills while injured for me was, that as I was playing hardcore EVERY kill I made even from full health was a injured kill

For me even when I destroy air streaks they seem to count for ground streaks as of now. Riot shield I had kinda the same thing happen, like all I had to do was have smokes and dead silence equipped and it would count, kills behind also counted for finishes and vice versa. Your guide's however are still super useful, I like the dropzone one. Have a great day! 😁
