You missed one of the most fun and powerful enchantment for a zombie deck: Tombstone Stairwell. You can attack with hasty zombies and massive etb and death triggers EACH turn.

I personally run Balthor the Defiled as the commander. Dont forget interesting cards like: - Grimoire of the Dead - Unbreathing Horde - Helldozer - Vengeful Pharaoh - Champion of the Perished - Tainted Adversary - Geralf's Messenger - Dictate of Erebos - Cover of Darkness

10:00 The reason for Extort reminder text being ignored is because of a different card. Trinisphere has reminder text explaining how it works and it uses colored costs to demonstrate this, so to make the card fit in any decks color identity, the rule to ignore reminder text was added.

I would love to see this series come back. They are helpful and great to watch with plenty of tribes to choose from

So I think they pretty much nailed the new zombie commander precon that was announced today…over a year ago.

Minus the newer zombie cards that you could not cover; really great job covering nearly all of the better zombies when you covered it. I was impressed with it.

Love this video, the new crimson vow zombie commander deck is a great one to get to get started on your zombie commander deck you get a decent deck that you can play right away and have fun, and you get a lot of cards that you’ll use in a really good zombie commander deck. Same with the spirits one. I’d recommend the zombie one for anyone that wants to just buy them and keep them sealed they’ll be worth 100-150 down the road, same with the spirits and probably vampires, new campenna they got better, and will keep getting better with this block.

You missed one big big one, mikaeus the unhallowed. Btw when mass reviving zombies, grey merchant syphons hard. Also with mikaeus and ham sandwich after revival its a win, skinrender or plague belcher plus sac outlet plus a drainer; mik undying gets infinite with any minus counter etb zombie

Most of my Varina deck is present here. Deck is fun as hell and performs pretty well.

You guys are seriously going to break my budget. I spent hour's editing my first noob deck and was sure it was strong and ready to go until I opened this video and now every card it's "I want that!" "Oh epic I wonder how much that costs" "oh that's such a great back up card in case the original plan goes wrong" the shopping list on TCG is just growing and growing. I'm having to reason with myself now for why a card won't work for me or I'd be fully broke I'm surprised you guys react so down to army of the damned. I really think it's OP even more so with a commander with flashback. You could have 13-26 2/2 on the table backed up by some bigger hitters and fliers. Possibly 3/3 with a support card. Even if they are small they would seem to wreck.

There is a muse cycle, yes. White one taxes attackers (have to pay 2 for each creature attacking you), Blue one mills each player equal to the cards in their hand, Black one you went over, Red one bolts people with few cards in hand and the Green one untaps your stuff.

What about narfi betrayer king as commander, simple tribal blue black. Full it up with tribal zombies & changeling and good blue card draw. Add in artifacts that also can be chosen to benefit zombies, or take it up a level an make morphon the boundless a zombie leader.

I don’t think Zombie Trailblazer works the way you described, actually. It doesn’t turn the lands into basic swamps, it just gives them the type “Swamp” on top. Think Urborg, not Blood Moon. It does take away other basic land types though, so e.g. forests stop being able to tap for black.

With their tanks and their bomb and their bombs and their guns... in your head they're still fighten.

Lord of the undead and fleshbag marauder is a repeatable combo.

This is coming pretty late, but relevant considering that a lot of people are building/editing zombies with the new precon/set. Don't take anyones opinion for fact. Make sure you do your own critical thinking. This video is a great intro to a lot of older zombie cards but say for instance these guys say endless ranks of the undead is such a great card but then put off army of the damned like it's so-so. But if you think about how long it would take you to get 13 zombies from ERotD, it would be at least one full turn from the moment you play it. And that's only if you have 26 zombies already in play. If you have 9 zombies out when you take your upkeep, thats only 4 zombies. (It rounds down) then youd have at least 13 zombie next upkeep as long as nothing happens to them and that will create you 6 more creating a total of 10 in this magical scenario spanning 3 turns. Now if you look at Armybof the damned, you play it and bam you have 13 zombies for 8 mana seems like a decent rate, quick and tonthe point. There when you need them. Oh whats this? You can play it again from your graveyard? So card advantage on top of that. I'd say in almost every case i'd drop ERotD and replace it with AotD.
