Looking for a quick guide to achieve 5GHz on your i9 9900K without a huge AVX offset? You've come to the right place!
In this video I take you through all the settings to achieve a 5GHz overclock in your 9900K. Cooling dependent of course, these settings should have you well on your way to a stable overclock at 5GHz on all 8 cores.
Unlike many other guides, this video will give you a basic understanding of what the various settings actually do, and what the safe voltage ranges are for each parameter.
The video also discusses Manual vs. Adaptive voltage modes and the Pros and Cons of each.

Thank you for this video ! I've watched watched and followed directions to 3 different youtube videos telling you "how to over clock a i9 9900k" and they all lead to my computer being unstable creating constant shutoffs, freezing and problems with my PC booting up. I want to mention that for flight simming, AVX instructions are for sure an issue, and you should consider an offset even on a high end cooling system.

Wow and thanks, my i9-900k is 1 year old, 64gb ram, 2080 ti super. I may have to watch this again to OC my cpu. I have zero issues with my PC really and plan to keep it maintained for the next 2 years or more. If you an advice I sure can use to improve my pc. I was going to buy a i9 - 10900k on my tuff zf390 plus board. I watch your tutorial and you just saved me money. I play games and stream on my pc but nothing heavy taxing games really. I play Outrider just to see how it handles and it handles it perfect and want more. I have not OC myboc and just run msi afterburner for my gpu and really tiny tweak. My OC days are long gone but I want to try it again.

Sure, in general desktop PCs can last a long time, it's just matter if it can keep up with certain software, like games to 3D rendering.

I mean seriously. I just popped in my i9 and followed this to a T. I've went back and dropped my core clock down a bit as the temps were a bit high for my liking(under full load spikes were around 90 c) So I'm down to 4.8ghz(4.7 with the offset we set) And my vcore is 1.245v, now running through your stability tests before I try to drop it down a bit.
