So much of the story is revealed later on in the series and through flashbacks... So we're bringing it all together, in chronological order, and all in one video. This is the complete Naruto timeline (as told by Yedoye). Believe it!

Naruto is one of the most recognizable animes out there, running for almost 18 years now and has over 600 episodes split into 2 series Naruto, and Naruto Shippuden. Naruto is still being discovered by so many new and old anime fans around the world. But with over 600 episodes it may take you a while to run through all of it. So that's why we want to unpack the main plot arcs in the series and bring you the complete Naruto timeline. We will run through the main plot points of Narutos journey to becoming the next Hokage and cover both series Naruto and Naruto Shippuden.

@@Malthizar Jesus, I am aware that myths are usually fictitious (USUALLY). Look it up if you want to but not all myths have to be factually incorrect or fictional. An example often used is that whether Jesus exited or not is debatable, the stories told about him are myths even if they're true because of the supernatural aspect of them. EVEN IF you assume (falsely) that all mythologies are fictional, generally, the terms aren't interchangeable as mythology refers specifically to tales like folk lore with and extended timeline, recurring themes and supernatural elements. In addition, I am not a child and a better analogy would be "you just said it's like a car not a carriage" since cars are a very specific type of carriage and the word car is just a shortening of it.

@@stpzo4178 Actually between both Naruto and Shippudden there is a total of 720 (220 Naruto and 500 Shippudden) episodes exactly 91 of Naruto's being filler and 204 of Shippudden's being filler leading to 295 total filler episodes. That means roughly 41% of the anime is nothing but filler.

You did not mention that Iruka basically saves Naruto from going down a dark path? Naruto was ready to destroy the whole village before Iruka stepped in to show he cared about him.

@@WarHawk215 Naruto never intended to destroy the village, he was told he could graduate if he mastered the jutsus in the scroll. It turns out he was trucked, he feels betrayed when he's told he is 9 tails, iruka knows his evil teacher is using that to turn naruto against the village, so he shows he does care about Naruto. In a way Naruto could ended the village, but he never intended to

@@olyviakiley5646 Still It's never implied that if not for Iruka Naruto would have destroyed the village. Iruka is a great character and the show DOES portray him as someone who becomes like an older brother for Naruto and helps him feel less hated and lonely. But as I said it's never shown that if not for Iruka Naruto would 100% have tried to destroy the village. If we take the first episode of Naruto but Erase Iruka, you could still write it in a way where Naruto on his own still ends up in the same path he did without Iruka's help. His reaction to finding out everyone hates him because of the 9 tails could still have just been "I'm gonna prove everyone wrong by becoming the hokage", it's less interesting but it would still work.

There's a few mistakes in the timeline: - Obito first witnessed Rin's death and then went to meet the Akatsuki. - Itachi didn't reveal that the Uchiha massacre was a Danzo plot. He in fact died to protect that secret.

What Tsunade developed from Dan's death was Blood Phobia, which ultimately led to her departure from the village her grandfather built.

The problem with that is Hashirama never actually had a gambling addiction, sure it was kinda shoehorned in for like 20 seconds of flashback, but that was only to link him to Tsunade. So it’s true and it’s canon, but it’s a major plot hole. When on earth was he gambling? Seriously think about his character and what he was busy doing. He never even showed a tendency to gamble, closest thing was him being competitive with Madara. It’s the worst retconned character trait I’ve ever seen and it’s disappointing by the standards of the rest of the series.

.... Tenancies like gambling hasn't actually been shown to carry from parent to child (or in this case grandparent to grandchild), at least not enough to say it's the main cause. I don't agree with this alteration to Hashirama at all for this reason and due to the fact that it doesn't fit with the rest of his character.

Tiny mistake I noticed, Sasuke used the sharingan before his big fight with Naruto, he used it in places like his fight with haku, gaara and naruto on the rooftop. Just wanted to point that out really quick, great job summarizing over 1000 episodes in 30 minutes though.

Exactly. Kishi fucked him in Shippuden. Neji was actually my favorite character in Naruto. When shippuden hit, he got the back seat so bad, as well as the Hyuga clan plot, that my favorite character switched to Shikamaru and eventually to the 4th Raikage. Kishi made him a jonin yet he still hanged out with Team Gai. I think he should've made Neji a sensei and had him die in combat trying to protect his students right before Pain invaded the village. Maybe Konan or Kisame defeat him in battle.

@@ghaziyacoub6049 in the show they speak about how the era before the 5 great villages were created as if it was a long time ago, but in this time line everything from madara and 1st hokage lifetime to modern day naruto all happened within 100 years or less.

He says Jiraiya found the orphans 14 years before narutos birth but Nagato is 35 years old in Shippūden. He was like 12 when Jiraiya found them so: 12+14+16(Narutos age) = 42?

Nope it makes sense.. he was hokage, died, then tobirama became hokage and died and made his best student who was around 20? Hokage.. Naruto is born now Hiruzen Sarutobi is 70ish looking, why is it hard to believe ? It adds up

It was about 50 years before, they got it right. Hiruzen was 70 in part 1 when naruto was 12 and he was about 10 when Hashirama and Tobirama started training him, putting the gap in time at about 50 years. You can do the age check w oonoki too, he was 79 in shippuden.
