Alternate title: IF class 1a had all the stronger students Class a and class b all took the entrance exam( other than the recommended students). They aren't separated by power. When people say " this person should be in class 1a and not 1b" vice versa, it's like they are assuming that the stronger characters are supposed to be in 1a. Both classes have the same curriculum. Class 1a just gets more spotlight because that's the class that the main character is in.
