是，侯爺對於喬蓮房當妾的事情，對十一娘並不信任，甚至認為和元娘是類似的人，幸好十一娘光明磊落，不貪心且一心都為徐家著想，這應該和她親身母親還有仙綾閣師傅的教育有關，君子愛財取之有道，後面也有提到徐侯爺是清官。這點肯定會讓侯爺欣賞的！不過有點我想不通，徐家既然是清官卻又家財萬貫，錢是哪裡來的？靠侯爺做生意?這侯爺也太能幹了，面貌俊秀、風流倜儻、文武雙全、琴書畫也是一流（好像沒看到棋），有權有勢又多金，難怪是多少女子的夢中情人！

They're taking their cue from the GM. She deliberately put Lianfang in charge of the household management which is a position that belongs to the legal wife. She disregarded Shiyi's position in the family which allowed everyone else to do the same. Concubine Wen never understood Shiyi's character. She assumed that Shiyi was greedy like her late sister Yuanniang. Because Shiyi birth status was low they thought she would jump at the chance to make money. However, Shiyi doesn't place value on money. In the end it's her selflessness that captured the Marquis heart. It's something that the rest of his concubines would never understand.

This probably would have been normal in real life. In Chinese harems, it wasn't unheard of for women to be compete for favor since the harems had a hierarchy system. If you were the legal wife you would be the most powerful woman in the family, but if you were the favorite you be the most influential. That's because being part of the harem is treated more like a full time job than anything concubines, consorts and wives would receive an allowance and even a promotion and as such women have been known to kill each other for a coveted seat in the harem, it's part of the reason Shiyi only exerts her power unless absolutely necessary. Concubines Qin and Wen know well enough that they'll never be favored, there is still the option of plying the favor of the most powerful woman in the room.
