I saw a report of the 2023 annual IGR of Ebonyi State and it wasn't up to N10 billion. Yet, Dave Umahi spent billions building this multicoloured bus terminal instead of using that money to empower small businesses in the state and investing in agroallied companies through PPP arrangement. I don't understand what qualifies people as leaders in Nigeria.

Given the vastness of Nigeria (36 states), every state of Nigeria should have international airport and local airports. This is because Nigerians are travelers and there are lots businesses in Nigeria. Every single city of every state of the 50 states of the United States has international and local airports.

I actually love the airport. I also love that the government used local people to build it. One hour thirty is too long to drive to an airport in modern times, so the airport was needed.

How many times have you used the airport ? You drive from Lagos for 6hrs but 1hr30 from Enugu is too much ?… That airport will soon be covered by Fulani herdsmen rearing their cattles. Ebonyi is not a business city, it means it’s only the indigenes that will be using the airport…, how many can afford it and at what frequency ? Umahi just wasted sukuk Islamic loan on misplaced priorities just to prove nothing ! Ebonyi need human capital development and mechanized agriculture for export .

KZfaq is a public space. We told them about all these misplaced priorities, airport and shopping malls that are still empty and deteriorating….! Ebonyi need human capital investments, and agriculture, they shouldn’t always want to do or compete like other SE states .

The money wasted on this NURSERY SCHOOL AIRPORT would have been better spent constructing model free and compulsory primary and secondary schools to give Ebonyi people a good start in life instead of pushing barrows and into criminal activities. How many Ebonyians can afford the cost of flight ticket and where are they even going to? Ebonyi needs human capital development if not others will lord over them in their state.

A brand new university built, but an already established state university where the students were protesting about poor conditions. The new university was handed over to the Federal Government. A new befitting state lodge in Abuja, but there was already an existing lodge in Abuja. Ecumenical Centre for prayers and conferences. I hope it’s profitable. A shopping mall. How’s that going. Lots of bridges in Abakaliki. I don’t know how much traffic they had in the first place. Wouldn’t traffic lights and X marks with police officers to enforce compliance being a cheaper alternative? Umahi did some good things but he was obsessed with grand projects and that wasn’t what Ebony needed. The Federal Government has offered to take over the airport.

@@henryebuka9794 and your Ebonyi airport is a graveyard. No single flight in 2 years. No flight cause people are so poor they can't pay for ticket. An airport is about viability and passenger traffic. Airport terminals are constantly upgraded. But your airport cannot attract passengers.

All the negative comments are coming from those who are jealous/envy or enemies of ebonyi state. Just tell me , which state in Nigeria that doesn't have an airport? You cannot dictate to or tell us what we need. Why all the hullabaloo about ebonyi airport? One vlogger once described Anambra airport as a warehouse, and someone here is making a gibberish remarks about ebonyi airport. To those who think that it's a misplaced priority. Take your priority to your place once you win election in your place. What some of you people don't know is that kingdom rise and fall for others to rise. Ebonyi is going to rise above other states in the south east in the nearest future, whether you believe it or not.

That layout is legit though, neat and better looking than many functioning airports around the country. But for the interior color combinations, it is extremely odd and aggravating to the senses. Not good at all. An airport is supposed to be luxurious and use colors that are welcoming and relaxing for the eyes and body. These colors just makes you want to run out of the airport because it feels like a riot of colors that don't match. Anyway, hopefully with rapid growth in population locally and in nearby states, the airport may prove useful at some point in the near future. But, the interior may repel many people.

This is a complete waste of money and resources, I am from Ebonyi, Ivo Local government, how many businesses, companies, markets and factories are in AI that will bring those that will fly, theses I mentioned is what we need first before the airport. I do not know if it is our parents doing farming that will buy air tickets. The both governors Dave Umahi and FON used the project to loot us blindly

Do you know why the airport is not functioning ? because the runway was badly done and it has just been recently asphalted by the new Gov. The Airport will soon be functioning and the Govt is planning on launching an airline. Next time do your research well and don't make it look like it has been abandoned

I have always known It's a misplaced priority, and another white elephant project constructed for personal gain. I suggested that Umahi invest the money in agriculture instead, and improve the IGR of Ebonyi state. Thereby making the state become the food basket of the nation. Imagine what 36 billion would do to farmers and Ebonyi state. Our politicians are so foolish and wasteful. It's a pity.

Go and watch madam sabi channel and see where governor said in 10 days the contractors will finalize, that was in May 2024 and we are in July. You types are problem we are facing in Ebonyi state. FON that threw Ai mall in to darkness for almost a month is the one that will make airport work, can you or myself buy the air tickets or do you think it is GUO motors
