Hey Dave, you deserve 10 times your subscriptions. You offer one of the very best of the bush craft video channels on YT. No one does it better!!! Really useful information, almost always done in the field no matter the weather, and this video is a clear example of that.So thanks for what you do for us all....you've even taught this old dog a few tricks along the way.

This is one nice knife that i would like to have. I like the shape, thickness, width and the wood handle look like a great fit. Sharpening the blade is not a problem for me and the sheath will keep the edge safe from what i see. I always like to watch your vids, and i am anxious to see the next one all-ready. Keep up the great work my friend, since i don't watch TV you are one special entertainer in my KZfaq/Facebook spare time. Yours respectfully -Yves

Dave, Looks like another peaceful yet rainy day in the woods. The Condor Nessmuk looks and works good. Condor makes a heck of a lot of great knife designs, at reasonable prices. I watched some of the 2017 shot show videos, and it looks like they have come out with even more great new designs. I checked out Baryonyx, and they look like a great knife seller and distributor too. Thanks for sharing.

Say Heah Dave, The original Nessmuk knife was closer to 5" blade. So I looked and looked for one around the 5" blade, I wanted a Prep101 but his we're A2 steel and he said his was in 3V, so I waited and waited for his to come out in 3V since his was 3V, but it still not made in 3V. so I figured since the Bark River Nessmuk eas alittle linger I almost bought a Bark River Nessmuk, Then I got a elail from Adventure Sworn my Fav. Guide, Everything I wanted, a White Handle, black liners and a 5" 3V blade, I bought it right away..., That completed my Wannabe Nessmuk Trio, I already had the 2Hawks Double Bit Hatchet abd the Stag Righ Rider Moose Pattern Slipjoint Pocket Knife, so I bought two of then. The woorkmentship was spit on, Everything look's perfect if only it was better steel, it's a 440a stainless. But to my surprise, The 440a must be tempered good and it seem's it is at Rough Rider, because mine hold a decent edge. I dint hunt, But my A S Guide holds a great edge, Yeah, I'm very happy with my Nessmuk Wannabe Trio. It's always nice to view you.,,.

Hey Dave have you seen they have a new one called the Neonessmuk? Its a bit longer and more narrow in blade height. They also are making some 1095 blades and 440C, also their new micarta is a tan mix with white color like their green handles. Condor really has some nice stuff coming out I really like their new Huron Knife in their primitive collection, it looks like a really good bushcraft/camp knife with a really cool sheath. When I received the knife from Benjamin from Baryonyx, I thought the scandi was very intriguing! It's actually made me really like this knife, a lot! Being that it's not specifically made for woodcrafting, the scandi makes it more multi-purpose, IMHO. Plus, I am not out there skinning game so the scandi is perfect for my purposes. That is a beautiful knife, a look and style I've admired for some time. I like it very much. Thanks for showing us it's characteristics Dave. // Just went to Baryonyx and checked out this knife and really liked it but ended up buying a Mora Companion Heavy Duty F. The 4" blade length and the 1095 steel convinced me this is more in line with what I want at the moment. This Condor is a real temptation though as it's kind of a dream blade for me. I'll probably get it someday. Thanks for all your thoughts on these kinds of gear. Your insight is quite helpful.

I actually purchased this knife for the look and style but it's been a pretty decent woods knife. Excellent purchase with the Companion HD, my friend! One of my absolute favorites! Personally, I think that one is a superior bushcraft knife over this one, especially the 1095 steel and the contour of the blade. Let me know what you think about it when you receive it! A Great video Dave, done in your always so easy style. I do love the passion you give a video. I have some Condor boots, but I do not believe there from Condor USA. If there form the same place, the best boots I have ever had. Love the content mate, keep it coming. A true friend from the uk. Dave UK.

Thank you for watching, Dave! I appreciate the kind words, my friend! I am betting that your boots are from the Condor Tactical Company, as opposed to Condor Tool and Knife, however, that is great information about the boots! Great to hear from you and I hope to talk with you again soon! -Dave

I know you're using a lot of different knives these days, especially your LTWRIGHT, but I'd like to see a follow up of the Nessmuk knife you have, by Condor. Thanks.

its a great knife design but lacks small features that I want . I plan on modifying mine by creating a double edge at the tip and the handle needs to be bigger so might wrap it in resin and jute twine or parcord to fit my hand better .

Great video as always ,sitting here with the flu so I have a week off work to set and watch my favorite bushcraft . Have u ever done a review of the shcrade SCHF2 small survival knife? I purchased one because of my childhood passion for a good survival knife with a hollow handle and sense this one is forged with one piece of steel it becomes the ultimate survival knife at lest I think so,also have the survival hatchet by schrade with the feral rod in the handle. Just haven't had time to get out in the woods yet with them

Oh man, I hope you get well soon, brother! The flu is tough! I have never owned any shcrade knives, but I can understand your childhood passion. If you are anywhere near my age, First Blood and Rambo 2 sold us on those hollow handle survival knives...lol! Sounds like an excellent setup you have there and tell me all about how the woods testing goes! -Dave

Would you consider reviewing the Cold Steel SRK? It comes in a variety of steel options (the newest will be in SK-5, shipping later this year), and I think you would really love it.

Hey dave great video. I have my first condor knives coming. It is the Hudson bay camp knife. I won it in a giveaway. I have heard a lot of good things about condor knives. Do you have any experience with the Hudson bay knife?

Hey Dave! Great review of the Condor Nessmuk! I have a question, I have watched some videos that show the Condor knife edges rolling on soft wood. What is your experience with durability? Thanks!
@HighCarbonSteelLove
@HighCarbonSteelLove 7 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the kind words, Matthew! I own 4 Condors I haven't had any trouble with the durability. Some of them do not hold an edge as long but sharpen very easily. I appreciate you stopping by, my friend! -Dave
