The one thing I learned AFTER buying a new Stihl 212C is that I should have stayed with my dewalt electrics. They start literally every time. Not impressed with Stihl at all. Leaves me beat up and exhausted trying to start the EZ start. It runs when it wants to. period.

Good review on the one of the most underappreciated knives ever. I have done everything with it from shaving to dressing a brown bear, with it even my barkrivers are getting a rest.

Hi Dave. I think that I watched your videos more on another profile years ago. I notice that you haven't put a video up in years. I hope that you are well and enjoying a good life.

I take it they either drop forged or hot pressed, then ground it to shape the steel looks beautiful.

I prime mine with the wind screen on and I will heat the tank with my hands and don’t need the straws, it will put fuel out of the jet. But I have been using both of mine since the 1960’s. I have heated MRE’s in plastic before many times.

Hi Dave, great video I agree with you both would be the ideal combo, if you can’t pack both with you then you probably shouldn’t be in the woods to begin with.😊❤

Can you throw high kicks like MMA style head level in these kicks and do Jiujitsu in them with the stretch on the crotch or will it rip or restrict?

Appears to be a great knife. Maybe you set yourself up for disappointment that isn't really there when you start looking at other knives. This would be easy to do since there are a million other bushcraft knives out there vying for our attention. A lot of really good ones, too. But how many knives do you need? A couple, three, maybe four? To do different things. I've got a few. Looking to add one. Could be this Condor.

I just got this system, I've seen several at gun shows, but never took the time to lay them out, and check them, finally one of my local surplus stores had one, I got for $225.00 in excellent shape, just wondering if I would need to do some touch up waterproofing., great video

I find the Companion's handle much more ergonomic. I find the Craftline handles to be somewhat uncomfortable. Just doesn't seem to fit my hand.

Wish they were making them as nice as the one in this video now a days. Different Sheath and what looks to be an untreated handle. The head doesn't have that dark colour to it now either.

THE BAHCO BLADE THAT YOU USED, IS IT THE 53 CM, FOR DRY WOOD? THE MILWAUKEE COMPANY HAS EXCELLENT RINGS. THE BEST BLADES FOR A BUCK SAW ARE FROM BAHCO, MADE IN SWEDEN FOR DRY WOOD AND AUGUSTA, MADE IN GERMANY FOR FRESH WOOD. ALSO, THE BEST BAHCO SERIES FOR SAWS ARE THE BAHCO JS AND THE BUSHMAN SAW WITH THE WOODEN HANDLE. AFTER BAHCO, I LIKE THE SAMURAI AND ARS SAWS, MADE IN JAPAN. ALSO, YOU CAN CHECK THE NORDIC FOLDING SAW AND THE EKA BOW SAW, BOTH OF THEM, MADE IN SWEDEN. GOOD VIDS IN GENERAL AND I AM A BIG FUN OF CONDOR KNIVES TOO.

NEVER use an additional external windscreen with this stove!!! The one that is on the stove is designed for the correct temperature of the device. An external windscreen will increase pressure and may cause an explosion. I have seen pictures of Svea 123 stoves with the bottom blown out from using a second windscreen.

Not a patch on the “salt and pepper” packs, they are absolutely superb and if you need waterproof, the later ones are rubber coated but with the same excellent leather carrying straps.

Interesting piece of information on leather care, only treat it once a year, i see you’re using wax, does that hold true for other leather care product like leather conditioners and cleaners and waterproof and treatment oils like mink oil for example?
