seems like Korea has the highest rate of people who are jealous of others, shallow, and often resort to bullying. There are some truth as to why so many k-dramas include some form of bullying, especially the dramas with school theme. as for the criticism of her role in captivating the king, it was almost perfect, i feel. i love that movie except the damn ending of episode 15 and 16. the writer and production made a shortcut and didn't make a more Cinderella like glamorous ending. I'm so mad at the production for having allowed a shortcut to the ending and the writer for allowing that, they didn't give the viewers the satisfaction of an elaborate wedding, and a memorable honeymoon, because Shin SE Kyung can act with so much class and grace, it would be romantic in any way. that is why i feel she is a superb actress; i haven't been this work-up in comments because i heard and read so many critics against her. ok, back to the movie, heck if i was the king and finally could have her, i would have the most romantic and the most elaborate wedding and honeymoon!!!! but back to the subject matter, you critics have to give her break. She was flawless in every movie she has.

This is just my opinion, but she is not a very good actress..she’s pretty but she is not very expressive..

If that is what she really looked like when she was young then she is really pretty. However, if you truly analyze the way she acts, it's just dull. Her eyes are dead. Last time I saw her in a drama was in the Bride of Habaek and that drama sucks if not for the 2nd lead. Nam Jo Hyuk was no better. Then I saw this drama with Jo Jun Suk who is a very good actor and singer so I watched it. A few episodes in, I knew her acting did not improve. That's a fact.
