Small PSA to NOT sell The Tower in an Idol run. The Idol never selects Stoned cards, so you can use to effectively remove cards from the pool of possible Idol selections. Other than that love the content, keep it up!

Yeah, honestly this should be two jokers: +3 consumable slots on one joker and +0.5x mult for each consumable held

Showing principle. Every game introduces new items as op as possible so that people consider changing their play style. As a creator, you observe what players like to do with your card and nerf it without getting rid of the strategy players enjoy. Playerbases will show you exactly how to balance your game and as a dev you just sit back

@@Ealron356 or you can release it balanced the first time. This one was obviously op. Also separate issue but most modders always make their thing they add insanely op because they want people to get it or they don’t understand the game well enough.

@@modernwarhero8447 this ain’t you’re game and this isn’t localthunks game. This is a community spinoff that’s meant to be enjoyed for the extra jokers and strategy. What fun would it be if it were on par man. Just stop complaining and enjoy. feedback is what contributes to a more fun and balanced game 100 percent of the time. In the devs mind this was either experimental or their dream joker, so why don’t they have the right to put it into their own mod

@@modernwarhero8447 Hi, ametuer modder/gamedev here; "release it balanced the first time" is a genuinely insane thing to suggest because doing that is insanely difficult. We can reference the numbers the base game uses to try and pin down where something might need to land, but ultimately we cant really tell until we test it in game, and testing by yourself as a solo dev is always going to be pretty rough. Generally its much easier to release it to the public and ask for feedback there, once multiple people have been able to try it out in practice

fun fact, the idol can't pick stone cards, so the purple seal cards and the king could have been stone until after using the strengths

If you use death to dupe a temporary polychrome card, you keep a permanent copy of it. Okay, that's pretty scary when it's likely this mod isn't supposed to work like that.

I think obelisk should just decrease by 0.1x mult when you play your most played hand. That way it is viable.

Because it only scales linearly it would ironically be pretty bad for high score runs

Its linear scaling, so not really. If you have 90 planet cards and observatory, thats a multiplier of 7,050,392,822,843,070. If you have 90 alchemical cards and this joker, thats a multiplier of 90

I think it was a mod bug at the end for consumable slots. When you sold the joker for seltzer the negative didn't count anymore

To be fair, while a voucher that adds a pack slot would be so cool, the current UI just isn’t made for it, not a hard change by any means but not as easy as just slamming another pack in

I want to see a modded joker that has exponential scaling, instead of multiply it instead takes the nth power. It increases really slowly but each increases makes the number grow much faster

apparently selling catalyst reset your consumable slots to base, considering your vouchers but not your negative cards then using the negatives reduced your slots by 1 each very silly

Wild card + suit debuff should probably change. NONE of the possible interactions make sense, so if they all equally don't make sense why go with the one that feels most unfair for the player?

why is it better to copy idol with BP joker ? if he copy hack, the result is better because the polychrome will retrigger one more time, and he will get extra 2 chips, am I missing something ?

its because the mod loader has to inject the files directly into the game like how a trojan would inject into your files, i can assure its safe to use

58:14 so selling that joker... reduced your consumable slots to base?? it seems like it just ignored the negative alchemical cards... thats really weird

Looks like an oversight while programming. I would guess the value for # of slots is increased by 2 when the joker is bought. Then when the joker is sold it looks at the base and vouchers, when it should subtract by 2. There's probably a case where is went negative so this was a workaround.

12:39 - you were still grinding economy here, had both Matador AND Blueprint. Since you knew full well one hand with 5 hearts would be enough to win the round, why not play a single spade with Blueprint pointed at Matador, take your double payout, do this until down to 1 hand, then do what you did with Blueprint/Ancient to win out? You would have had a crapload of money to roll or open packs for whatever you needed there.
