I tried to foster but didn’t even get a single call for almost a year. Failed ! I tried to adopt my relative internationally but the government will not allow it. Failed ! I tried to adopt through Private agency but it cost a lot of money, Failed ! I tried surrogacy and it cost even more, Failed ! I am losing hope. I wanted to do it so I can help children have better life. A lot of it just doesn’t make any sense! It’s so sad but maybe one day I can foster to adopt. For now I’ll enjoy my own and be thankful for what I have.

If you go through adoption through a county children's services department, the cost is a great deal less than going through a private adoption agency.😎

Hi Lucrene. Your videos are extremely informative. I don't know if you covered this topic or not. So I thought if you could answer my question. I am an international student living in the US. My husband and I have been through infertility for quite some time now. I want to know if we can adopt a baby through the domestic adoption method? Another option that we are considering is private adoption. but the problem is that my sister who is willing to give birth to a child for me lives in a different country. However, she is willing to come to the US to give birth to the child but I don't know what the rules are for situations like this.
@Lucrecebundy
@Lucrecebundy 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Rabail. Thanks for watching :) That is a very unique situation for sure. I wish I could give you some direction on this, but really can't speak to your situation since you live in a different state. Your sister giving birth here would probably be best, but I'm not sure what happens to the birth certificate and such.

You cannot sell a child, that is illegal. You can have medical and pregnancy related expenses. Women who are paid to be surrogates make money, or women who sell their eggs.

I'm a Foster parent. I've had the baby almost a year. The mother hasn't given up her rights yet and the judge keeps given her chances over & over again even though she doesn't show up to visit the child. It's a very emotional journey but you don't have to pay for anything but your training. The sad part is you don't know if you will be able to keep the child and you become very attached. Not trying to discourage you just being honest.. Good luck 👍

@@dansmith8918 thats my only hang up with foster care. realistically I don't think I could pay anywhere near the 30k mark. honesty I would prefer a newborn thats why I felt like private adoption made the most sense. I heard its alot harder to be placed with a new born or any child under the 6 month mark. also the high possibility the baby will eventually be placed back with the birth parents seems like alot of heart attack in the end. sadly I found out recently through a reproductive specialist that my pcos and endometriosis will prevent me from likely ever having kids so im at a loss for what i should do at this point but im looking at all my options

I think you left out the cost of failed adoptions. Most couples have at least one failed adoption and the cost of those failed attempts can be quite high.
@meschahayes1003
@meschahayes1003 3 жыл бұрын
American Adoptions has a protection for that. It's the most expensive agency in the US that is full service and adds that protection. If the adoption disrupts, you are still on the list until you are successfully matched.
