There used to be Tesco in Poland too. I used to do some shopping in the Czestochowa branch and there used to be a Tesco at the very end of the metro line in Warsaw. Apparently, these shops change their names every five years as they get tax breaks for the first five years so after that, they move on instead and the shop has a new different owner.

I went to that Tesco once, big store with a lot of cheap products! There used to be an M&S too apparently, though from what I hear it was more clothing than food

For Canadians is about 1/3 so 3000 zloty is approximately 1000 in CAD

Maybe in future, with so many currencies in the world it’s a tricky one 😛 But perhaps at least with Euro’s I could do a comparison

If you buy clothes in these mall boutiques you pay a few times more than in chain shops like Pepco or Sinsai, same clothes with comparable quality.

Morning from Wales UK. Just found and subbed to channel, would love to visit Poland one day, how do you cope with language barrier or do most people speak a little English?

It varies a lot, most speak a little English but it definitely helps to have some Polish when in shops, restaurants and bars are normally okay 😊

5:48 It doesnt really help that we dont know the salaries, i dont expect you to know every salary, but you could say what your average salary for your job in the UK is and then what you earn in Poland, so theres a better understanding. I make around £46K a year as a fuel tanker driver and im very interested in moving my family to poland, but would £46k, which by your conversion in zloti is 230K zloti, from what i see online the average for my job in poland is 80K zloti, which would barely pay rent never mind support a family of 5 in Poland,

@@AddictedEmperor this is something I’m not too knowledgeable about, it really varies by industry and company, in IT in one company I was in the average seemed to be around 5000zl a month, but in another it was higher at around 8000zl (after tax), unfortunately wages are definitely lower in Poland on average compared to the U.K. though the cost of living is generally lower, though like everywhere inflation is hitting bills but not so much wages right now 🙁

Very informative! What would you say the typical monthly wage is for an office worker in Warsaw? 3000 Zloty/£600 rent per month sounds very reasonable for a 1 bed apartment in the capital city but only really if that reflects less than 40-50% of your monthly pay
@britinpoland2392
@britinpoland2392 11 ай бұрын
Wages vary a lot by sector, I think generally the average is 4/5k per month for a lot of people, at least those starting out in office jobs

Mate 40 to 50% of a paycheck is utterly ridiculous even 35% seems unreasonable and that being a 2 bed flat regardless where as a Scottish resident we define over 35% as poverty.

I’m not a student and haven’t been in this country…depends how wasted you get while partying 😂 So I have no idea what costs are in regards to university accommodation for example I’ve given you an idea of the costs of products here, so better to work it out based on your lifestyle choices 😉 Also many museums and other places offer student discounts so again I wouldn’t know prices there

Hi, I’m afraid I cannot help anyone move to Poland, I do not have the knowledge or experience for that, I am not an immigration specialist. All I can do is make videos on topics to educate people about Poland, and help people who are here or who are interested in the country. If there are any topics that would be useful to you, you may suggest and if I have the knowledge about it I can make a video
