I am currently reading this book. Completed the first chapter just now (first night)... So far, I found it so hard hitting when thought seriously. What it teaches is 100% real. I am surprised by knowing and understanding the truth. We choose what we choose. We blame (excuses) things and the environment for choosing or not choosing. And we fear the change. That's why we don't want to change. To change, we must have courage to face the reality of the new "lifestyle" or identity.

I left my corporate job in Dubai to begin my own small business endeavour. The particular career shift changed my relationship with many people and their opinion of me. This was an important life lesson. I've suffered from serious depression and was doing fine but last 2-3 days has been a dump again. This video was important at this point for me. Thank you for the last bit! When you are free of what others think of you, you are truly free. :)

After having it in my to-read list for months, bought this a few days ago and now listening to your review, cannot wait to read it … Without knowing the philosophy, this is exactly what I had always wondered about trauma and ppl’s reaction to it … I’ve been through some painful experiences in my childhood yet I chose to let go and be an optimist person while one of my siblings who’s been through mainly positive childhood has held on to a few painful memories and been carrying the baggage since which has led to a pessimist and bitter temperament … this book will unpack that question for me … 👍

Because you kinda care too much about other people’s opinion. 😢 I was shocked but read it like on a crazy pace ❤ loved it so much that I borrowed it from her. One of the fastest reads I picked up, I have to say.

"Emotions are a way to justify our actions'. This probably means , instead of counting on how we are feeling, we must count on what we are doing ,on our real actions. I think this makes sense, when we want to suppress the emotion, like anger, hate. But what about when we feel happy. loving?

I have just completed this book in 2023 ,believe me I am somewhat convinced by this book . But psychology or philosophy is something people are not familiar with from childhood so one can't see world through all point of view. So to change one's point of view one should need to read this book and grasp patiently what had been taught.
