I had the privilege of seeing the Cranberries live several times in the 90s. One show, in particular, will stand out to me as one of the greatest concerts I've ever been to. It was in an outdoor amphitheater in Columbus, Ohio, and there was a storm rolling in. The ominous sky above and Dolores' haunting vocals were perfectly paired to connect with the 90s teenage angst that drew me to this band like no other. The opening line of Lost couldn't have more perfectly captured my favorite memory of my favorite band.

This is what sorrow sounds like when made a song. One of the greatest of the greatest.

This song "Lost' is almost like a PRIMAL SCREAM foreshadoing what was to come not long after. It is so very sad what eventually did occur to end her time on this Earth. For some folks, happiness is so very elusive and fleeting. It may just be that we must work harder to find it or to make it for ourselves and hold onto it with all of our will.

I saw them in 2010 in my city and she was gorgeous like always was. Her voice and her kindness, her energy, the gig was magical, I was there but I wasnt realized it was hard to believe most harder when the news about her younger death. But lets remember the contribution that Dolores and the guys given to this world, not only artistic, but about kindness and love. I will never forget I think after she sang astral project or in the end of the show she says : All of you deserves to be happy, fight for it ! I didnt remember exactly the word by word but some like this. And this words makes all the crowd thinking about what you were doing with our lives and how to find a balance between happiness and sorrow. So sad, so beautiful, kind, and young .... :(
