Cranberries lead vocalist Dolores O’Riordan penned “Roses” (2012) about her father who was nearing the end of his life. The Irish musician stated : “My father was dying and he was very sick, so I found it easy to write. When you’re young, through pain sometimes it’s easy to write. “Life is no garden of roses More like a thistle in time … Life is a garden of roses Roses just wither and die” Her dad passed away in 2011. Little did Dolores know that her time would come some seven years later❕ 💙🥀💜 May you rest in peace, Dolores Mary Eileen O’Riordan (1971 - 2018)… 🌹
