I remember watching this game with my wife. She's a big Cowboys fan, and she was talking sh*t to me the whole game. I was so excited when Redskins made that kick at the end, I was yelling and screaming!! 🖕Cowboys!! DEFINITELY one of my fav moments as a Redskins fan. RIP #21 Taylor HTTR!! ❤

I was living in Clarksville, Tennessee, at the time, and I was at this place. Called "The Moose Lodge," restaurant/club and Sundays. During football season, every game was shown. This game was on, and after the Redskins blocked the kick! I jumped up and yelled out, "BLOCK!" The whole place jumped up and ROARED! Except for the Cowboys fans. 😆😅😂🤣 After Sean Taylor's run back and the Redskins were in field goal range. The Redskins kicked the field goal and made it. I jumped up and said, "IT'S GOOD!" The whole place jumped up and ROARED again! You'd thought that the whole bar was filled with Redskins fans! But you had fans of every team, rooting for the Redskins that day! 😆😅😂🤣

For me as a Redskins fan since I was 10 years old, this was the greatest Redskins moment for me ever! I’m only 25 but I remember watching this on live television getting ready to turn off the TV because I was so upset that we were going to lose until Sean Taylor blocked the kick and that facemask penalty put them up 15 yards to give them a chance! The tension was so high my heart was pounding and then he actually made the kick! I COMPLETELY lost my shit. One of the greatest moments in Redskins history, certainly the greatest one I’ve ever witnessed!!!! RIP SEAN TAYLOR This is what made him so special he made so many plays that were truly great, and there was that aspect to his game that was intangible. The greatest players have these inexplicably magnificent cosmic moments - like this one - that manifest through them and allow them to accomplish unbelievable feats at precisely the exact time it needs to happen, like a Kobe Bryant (RIP) or Michael Jordan. Had Sean continued to live he would’ve been considered the greatest safety of all time even one of the greatest players of all time. He certainly is in my book thank you Sean love you and we miss you!

As a skins fan born in 97, and a son of a skins fan who was around during the prime Joe Gibbs era and even attended 2 of our 3 super bowl wins, I miss these days. We weren’t great, but we were always fun to watch. And i thought it was cool seeing Gibbs out there coaching again. Santana Moss, portis, Cooley, Marcus Washington, lavar Arrington, Shawn springs, and the plethora of QBs we went through. And of course Sean Taylor. They weren’t always pretty but they were good days. Maybe it’s just the nostalgia of being a kid watching my favorite team looking at the players as super heroes. Anyone else remember the 2000-2007 skins as well as me ? Lol

This is the first time that I have heard James Thrash's name in over a decade. Wow that was refreshing. I had some close friends that met him once, at a dentist's office of all places, and reported that he was an amazingly kind person. Hope he and his family are well.
