The Crazy acceleration of the Suzuki Vitara Turbo!
It may only have 103kW of power and 220Nm of torque, but it only weights 1100kg, give or take. 17-inch alloy wheels with excellent Continental tyres are standard, as are Alcantara and faux-leather trim, a six-speaker stereo, automatic wipers and headlights, climate control, adaptive cruise, heated and folding rear vision mirrors, LED headlights, keyless entry and start, hill-descent control, sat nav, and a space-saver spare tire.
The technology, which is included in most Suzuki Vitara Turbo and features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, is operated on the tiny 7.0-inch screen. With front AEB, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise, blind-spot monitoring, weaving alert, and reverse cross-traffic alert, the 2019 model year introduced a greater safety package, bringing it up to speed on that front.
We'll be looking at how the Suzuki Vitara Turbo performs over the next few months as much as we can in this COVID-restricted environment. It has an endless stream of competitors that are throwing everything at this price range, so a few months in the Alcantara-trimmed saddle, where the Vitara will meet many of its rivals, should be enough to establish its worth.
Obviously, after painting the deck, a huge rug was necessary to cover the newly painted deck. It fit well in the Suzuki Vitara Turbo, demonstrating its adaptability once again. Our six-foot-four-inch kid can sit comfortably in the rear (aside from being hauled someplace with us) since the bench, albeit poorly supplied, is really comfy.
The 8.2L/100km fuel number for this month fits up very well with when I've owned the vehicle for a week. It's doing okay, thanks to a mix of clipped wings and an excessive number of short journeys (including to a happily negative COVID test) and waiting outside school for said tall kid to emerge from an HSC exam. I believe replicating the official mixed cycle statistic of 5.9L/100km is difficult, but the turbo engine is at least consistent.
You never really feel like you're in the vehicle since the seat is situated very high in the chassis. That's certainly compounded by the fact that I'm in and out of various vehicles, but it's something I've always observed. It's not horrible, and I doubt most owners would notice within a week, but I instinctively attempted to lower the seat. And then there's the rear seat. There are no air vents, armrests, or cupholders back there, just a bottle holder in each door. However, the seat is sufficiently comfy for adults to sit in the outboard locations.
The suspension was built up by someone who understood what they were doing, with well-controlled body roll and steering that is about ideal for what people would actually use this front-drive version of the vehicle for - cruising around town with the odd longer journey and not much harsh things.
I can't think of a decent justification for all-wheel drive if you never drive on slick conditions. If you live on a dirt road, you may need to invest the additional money, but on a well-maintained gravel road, this Vitara will suffice. The Turbo is also quite well equipped, with LED headlights, temperature control, a comprehensive safety package, great front seats, and a solid build.
No, the plastics aren't flashy, but the inside is tough as nails. The interior design isn't exactly cutting-edge, but that's not a Suzuki problem.
