Yes! Yes! Yes! I bought into the marketing. I went the first year. It was literally the Temple of the 5 hour line. No lie. We walked in and the cast members were sending us to the real line that snaked (no pun intended) from Small World in little groups of ropes all the way at the back of the park up through to the entrance and extended queue. 5 hours to wait to ride the best ride ever... yes still to this day! The only one that may be a smidge better is Tokyo version with the Tornado and the fire ball guy instead of the weird rat scene ours has. Huge miss to not put this in Disney World. Huge. Love your videos and your energy and info. Truly the best ride from the best imagineer!

EPICCCC!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!! So much in depth about the opening!!! I actually had no idea the advertising campaign was so huge!!! Including a train wreck of a superbowl halftime show HAHAHHA!! All I knew is that there was a new ride being built and I couldnt wait to ride it lol. Btw I watched the construction of this from ground up when I lived in Anaheim and having an Annual pass. You really could see great from the old Dland hotel monorail station. When you mentioned about it being a half a mile in and out...you DONT notice its that long AT ALL! Especially going in. You are in complete awe of queue you dont notice it and to be perfectly honest I would of wished it was longer to see more!!! Also on the way out you dont notice it because you are completely awe struck of what had just happened to you after you get off the ride HAHA!! But yessssss overall EP2 hit the spot and really opened up my EYES ;) hehe especially about the plot hole about funding the rest of excavation...yaaaa just use the gold from Mara!! DUH! Anyways I LOVE your passion, detail and attention you have giving this series! Now I am even more excited about ep3 and explaining about the ride itself!!!!!!!!!!

Happy 40th anniversary Raiders of the lost ark!

There used to be a small emblem (reminiscent of the purple necklace Mara has with the eye) ontop of the chamber of destiny version, perhaps that was jewel of power? It has been removed though for years. It was pointed out in a video from Parrellel Disney where he compares all of the chambers, it is at the 8 minute mark, that might be tge jewel of power! Great video! I like the explanation that Mara must look at you to determine what you need. (Otherwise they could just blindfold that bad boi) Also They actually try to insinuate that Indy jumps down onto your Jeep at the Boulder. (you can tell because there is a sound effect played of him landing on the hood.)

My on-the-spot solution to the "why do they need tourists?" plot hole: tax evasion. Since the expedition has a claim on the Chamber of Earthly Riches, which is a source of infinite wealth, its expected tax rate is now also infinite. In order to keep the government from seizing the temple (due to tax nonpayment), Salah begins offering free tours and claims the expedition as a nonprofit educational organization, which negates the need to pay taxes on surplus income. Without the tourists, they'd be forced to declare bankruptcy due to the physical impossibility of paying their taxes.
