tbh this reminds me of the Cowsills in the 1960s and 1970s. 6 siblings (they had a 7th, but he wasn’t in the band) who sang in a band with their mom. their dad was the manager. they put on a very close-knit, happy, family-friendly persona but decades later it was revealed that their dad emotionally abused them and beat the shit out of them and they were completely fucked up. after the band broke up, they went years and years with rarely talking to each other. 4 of the siblings are still alive and now perform together but at this point they’re all 62-73 years old… but regardless, they were and still are extremely talented and one of my favorite bands ever lol. obviously every sibling had a huge passion for music but the dad was very controlling and everything the public saw was a facade, the media was forced to present them as a bubblegum pop catholic family. just kinda concerned that might be the case for this family.
