You: How do you continue the attack? Me: Hmm, well, maybe queen to H6? You: You could go Queen to H6 but then Bishop to H7, that's like, a really barbarian approach. Thank you, I finally have a name for my playing style.

to 7:30 where you asked for an attacking move for white, how about an alternative: 1. Rd6 attacking the pawn on e6, if Queen takes the rook, then 2. Qd7# was just trying to find some deflection tactics since the checkmate is only prevented by the queen

I would've played rook to d6 pressuring the e6 pawn and my opponent can't capture the rook with queen because of the queen checkmate at g7. Did I make a mistake or is that a good move?

I just don’t get not capturing the g3 pawn and allowing the in between G takes Hcheck. Too easy for white to play after that with an open F and G file
@nik0096
@nik0096 6 жыл бұрын
To continue the attack, I would have played Rd6 to attack the back rank pawns and the queen cannot capture the rook because if it does then Rg7 would be check and the only square for kin will be Kgh8...then Rd7 will win the queen...I hope I am right..

9:26 What about Qxf8? After Rxf8 you can play Bb2 and he can give up the queen or a rock but after you capture it's a checkmate?? Does that work? I don't see any counter
@user-bm6ck4pm2y
@user-bm6ck4pm2y 6 жыл бұрын
The whole point of Rd7 is to deflect the queen from guarding e5, because if you, for an instance play Qxf8, after Rxf8 and Bb2 black can play e5, since the queen is still on c7 and is supporting the pawn.. :)
