I’m just shocked to see this actually come to fruition. It feels like this should symbolize the coming of the four horseman of the apocalypse.

The original Crow was pure, the personification, of alternative gothic rock. This seems more rock'n roll. Different vibe. Like having a R&B crow or a country Crow or a 60s folk rock Crow. The Cure is one of my absolute favorite bands, sounds, vibes of all time so this new Ozzy Crow with its slightly different esthetic limits my enthusiasm.

While it showed to much, this trailer actually got me excited for the movie.

I'll give it a chance. I really like the original when it came out. Saw it multiple times in the theater when it came out. Played that soundtrack on repeat that entire summer.

A lot of the imagery looks really inspired by the parts of the story missing from the original that the budget couldn't afford and with the passing of Brandon Lee couldn't finish. We actually see the purgatory like world and the guide he meets in between deaths. I had hope because Bill looks a lot like a young Peter Murphy which is the inspiration for Eric Draven's face in the novel. The action look visceral, I feel like the movie will live or die at this point based on the soundtrack. The face painting scene in the OG set to 'The Cure' is pretty iconic. Even in the unfortunate studio meddled Crow City of Angels sequel, the face painting scene that follows with 'Filters - Hey man nice shot' as he suits up is pretty amazing.

I was thinking the same thing being the trailer John, "ok enough, stop showing me so much!" I feel like I just got the Cliff Notes for the movie and id.pass the test.

I didn’t hate it, but it’s not going to please many people. I appreciate it doing something different than just copying the Lee film and skarsgard looks like he gives a pretty good performance. I think people are going to need to go in without the original on their mind and judge it on its own merits

I like it. A totally fresh new take. So glad they didn't try to be too reverent to Brandon Lee's Crow. Doing that would've been a death nail. Looking forward to it.

While I wished they'd of just made it not Eric Draven and just a new crow story, it looks good to me. Looks like they're bringing in some of the comic lore from O'Barrs books that came post Eric's story for this. As a comic fan this thing is filled with stuff that made me go oh someone who made this read the comics lol

The CONCEPT of The Crow is that pure, GOOD people are killed unjustly, and the opportunity to right that injustice is given on 1 night - Devils Night. This is none of that. This is 2 excons, trauma bonded and killed for being a "witness", getting to avenge their deaths. Not. The. Same. I could do with different actors, different cities, different years, different music. But the PREMISE difference is what makes this a no go. This is an injustice to the true intention of The Crow. In addition, the cinematic setting does not inflict the same as the story. The setting does not match the energy of the story or the characters. This is just as important. So missed on all fronts with this.

i dont think the crow needed a remake but i am always open to them, i love seeing other peoples takes on chsracters, storys etc. just not new takes on haircuts😭😭

Better than i thought from those pictures. Itll never be 94' Crow....but thats not a reboots point now is it? Feels like a Zombie John Wick. Should be fun....

Sorry for the long comment but I remember driving to highschool in the am the morning the news came on the radio announcing Lee's Death. I was a huge fan and got into martial arts arts 7 bc of his dad. I'm excited for the reboot.

Got a chance to see this after Hot Mic and I have to say I have far more enthusiasm for it than Jeff did. It does feel pretty different to the original Crow, but I'm willing to give it a chance, I think they can do something with that different feel and approach.

I was obsessed with the original as a kid, saw it like 20 times in the theaters. The vibe was so subtle, ghostly, and personal, this one looks a bit over the top, going straight at guys in bright lights.... but maybe it works overall.

This Crow looks amazing. Can't wait for it. They didn't white wash Ghost in the Shell the creator of the series himself said he had Scarlett Johansson in mind for the character.

Very conflicted with this one. On its own it looks fine and I appreciate them going for a different look with Bill, but comparing it to the original just brings it down for me. There’s no sense of atmosphere and it looks too clean

In my mind, seeing this as its own stand alone flick. Cause OG will never be outdone obviously. Agreed on soundtrack 👌🏽And to support Bill cause he's great in many things things 👏🏼🤘🏼

As a fan the og, I have doubts but I mean salvation (haven't seen wicked prayer but i heard its was BAD) was pretty crappy so as long as it is better than that... so I will probably watch it on streaming unless reviews are positive.

Im willing to give it a chance. Someone i know never even saw the original. He never even heard of it! I think it will get the younger generation to want to see the original. Everyone shoukd watch Brandon Lees version in their lives at least once. No one will replace his adaption to the character but i have faith in Bills acting. I like how its not a full carbon copy. I cant believe the original came out 30 years ago....

The original crow, saved my life. I saw it during a dark period of my life, and it gave me hope. "Can't Rain all the time.." Once you learn the source material, what happened to brandon, what happened to O'barr (The creator of the crow) you understand the original movie on a so much deeper level. Anything that doesn't reflect that is a vicious mockery of what inspired it. Eric is supposed to be sweet and innocent, that's what made the death so tragic. I really wish they would've used a different character, that would've gave them more freedom.

Ay it might be good so I'm gonna to watch it. But maybe changing the paint a little bit like the lines on his eyes down to the tip of his nose then he's good.

They showed a lot, but I feel like they had to in order to actually gather hype from the community. They had to prove that they were doing something different with Eric Draven's story and that they wanted to show how badass the film is going to be. So I'm hype even if the costume design isn't what i would've desired.

I could see why some people might be kinda worried about this trailer but at the same time when it comes to remakes I don’t mind when directors or writers try something different but keep the spirit of the original

It loose really strong but yeah it hasn't got that surreal impressionist stye that one would expect based on the original movie. It's got more of that Nolan-esque understated realism look & feel but it looks promising.

I’m not as enthusiastic for this. I was hopeful it would be something that I wanted to see. I just don’t feel like there is a good story behind this just lots of violent revenge. I think that’s why they showed us as much as they did.

Great reaction. I agree that the trailer could’ve showed less. Here’s a funny story: I remember watching the original with my mom when I was 5 (I’m 34 now). I swear that movie was like a fever dream at that time. It wasn’t until I was around 15 or 16 that I watched it again on OnDemand and was able to actually understand the story and concepts and I fell in love with it. I also watched the second one, but didn’t like it as much. I want to see this take on The Crow. I know a lot of fans are against it, but I’m going to give it a chance. I don’t HATE Bill’s look in this movie. It’s different to be sure and I see the Jared Leto Joker comparisons, but I actually don’t mind it.

It looks like a fun Action/Revenge Movie, but as a Remake of "The Crow", it feels too weird for my taste.

To me, The Crow with Brandon Lee (for a 1994 film) is an atmospheric masterpiece with eerily beautiful New Wave elements. Brandon Lee as Eric Draven (Eric the Raven) conveys a lot of emotions in the role, all in a very beautiful and interesting look. Brandon is charismatic as well as in top acting form. The film world resembles a music video by The Cure, dark, melancholic, with interesting camera perspectives. I have been hoping for a high-quality remake the whole time, but I realize that the first images of the new version rather disappoint me. Bill doesn't look as intense as Brandon. Watching the trailer, I feel no emotions. Writing these words, I now realize that the original 1994 movie should have been left as a classic masterpiece without a remake, thus leaving Brandon's farewell and legacy to rest in dignity. The original is simply original.

I hate trailers with audible song lyrics in them. I've just accepted that, for whatever reason, that is a thing that turns me off instantly. There was a period of time where Imagine Dragons 'Radioactive' was in like 4 movies trailers in a 6 month window and I hated them all. This looks...alright? I like the way Bill looks, I like the tattoos and I get that people were making Jared LeJoker comments, but Brandon Lee being a rock star in Detroit with baby skin isn't doing much for the verisimilitude of the movie, so it's a reasonable addition. I like Danny Huston but for whatever reason my brain instantly said "Should have tried to get Peter Stormare instead," this isn't a criticism just a weird thing I kept thinking (I think because there's some light Constantine vibes here). I'm not entirely sold on the katana either, but I do love the way they have him taking so much damage and just tanking shotgun blasts etc. I'll go see this because I'm a big fan of the original and I really like Bill Skarsgård but I'm not sold that I'll love it. Oh, and the song is Post Malone ft Ozzy, 'Take What You Want' :)

a lot going crazy cuz they think its a remake of the og film. ITS NOT. its a re imagined take film of the graphic novel. did some knew that even the og film was based on that novel too. that the novel came before any crow film existed. the original doesnt go anywhere. it exists , and its coming back in 4K remastered new version quality on may. so dont like this new take. dont watch it an period. im giving a watch, it wont destroy my thoughts that the og film is still one of best things to exist. Brandon Lee is and always be the best eric draven for me, but hating people like me just cuz i want to see this version cuz im curious how much different it will be, give me a break.....

So i dont think this movie will ever be as good as Brandon's....having said that, that doesn't necessarily mean it will be bad or "an insult to his memory". Goth kids just love to blow their wad when they see something to hate on. I feel like this has potential to be what the sequels (could've been); not as good, but decent enough. And as far as Skarsgards take on the character i wouldnt see him as even wanting to try to top Brandon. More like how Gyllenhaal did the new Road House. He didnt try to be like Swayze he simply made his own character for the role. Even of you could top the original, who said he would want to??

This looks pretty good. I wish they'd been faithful to the original make-up design. It's striking & ironic (a smile painted over rage & sorrow). But Skarsgard looks really badass.

I will say that the trailer wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t great either but I am still getting this movie a chance because to me it looks like they using more of the comics then the original movie.

It's looks incredible visually, I see alot of content creators and critics giving it criticism purely cuz of Nostalgia of the original film, I get and people feel that way because modern remakes 99% Of the time come with woke leftist ideology in them but if this film stays away from politics, I can see it getting successful and becoming a Classic for Generation Z.

First, I dub him "Ghost Malone" Secondly, I can't get onboard with this. It reminds me of The Crow: City Of Angels more than the original. It looks sort of flat and generic. Like a direct to DVD feature. Or maybe a lesser streaming feature. I don't think this is going to have a long theatrical run and I think it'll release for home viewing quickly There are some interesting shots. The harakiri shot is fun. The shotgun to the head is good. It looks like there will be some brutal kills and they're not holding back on the violence. That could be good. There's potential. But the color palette is very 2000s with all the blue and the assorted colors arbitrarily placed in corners and various spots on set, the saturation of said haphazard lighting that screams "We just started shooting our stuff digitally and now we're going to use all this brand new software we just bought," the lines we hear at least are the most generic boring dialogue I've ever heard. "You're so brilliantly broken." What is that? "You feel like my person." That's original. "I killed you. You did." Again, very original. Very creative. Brilliantly written. I mean I get that it's just a trailer but it looks bad. I just don't think this looks good at all. I think it looks mid and forgettable and I think it will probably be one of those remakes that most people are aware of but don't really talk about. Like Robocop. Or Total Recall. Or Dirty Dancing. I don't think this movie will be very good and I don't think it will have a lasting presence in pop culture. If I'm wrong I'll happily admit it but I am just not sanguine about this. I just don't expect much right now

I can't believe that these days and age of movie studios getting comics right or even better like for ironman these guys literally took us back in the pree-2000s when studios didn't know what they were doing. First of all my good Sir please do your research before commenting or criticizing. It's kind of disappointing if people are expecting some well informed discuss either for or against and you fail to deliver. They better reshoot the movie or use CGI to get him looking right before releasing the movie. The negativity is high due to high expectations. The hair, skin color and maybe if need be get rid of the tattoos. I personally don't mind the tattoos. Where's his guitar by the way? Where's the crow? I can't forget his scenes with the crow in the original movie. With that I believe everyone will be happy going to see the movie. My personal opinion.

Not feeling this at all. The original graphic novel was more about the grief and melancholy of losing a loved one to murder. Yes, there were moments of rage and violence, but you always felt it was because Eric was just beyond broken, and not because he had a revenge boner. This film just looks like cookie cutter action/revenge tripe w/ no nuance or subtlety.

Imagery was just as important as the story in the original comic, and the director of the first movie understood that. This version just looks like some tweaker who rips out copper wiring of trailer homes somewhere in Florida! Should have just taken the title off and made it some generic revenge fantasy because thats all it is.

I hope its good, but it literally looks like any other streaming movie being released on any given day. Say what you want about that first movie but it had an identity of its own that was fresh and appealing at the time.
