Yeah, the girl is dead. What happened was that Eric Draven, the main character, was resurrected by the Crow, a supernatural entity, in order to exact his revenge on those that murdered him & his girlfriend. After being resurrected, he’s now invulnerable to mortal wounds, enhanced physical prowess, & can communicate directly with the Crow, which acts as a guide & a goad. I would take a look at the 1994 The Crow. It adapts fairly well from the comics, with some slight changes or deviations

The original had a 90's grunge rock, heavy metal, goth esthetic in a city that resembled kinda like Gotham and the people who killed Eric and his fiance were a street gang this is like some kinda corporate people

The lead actor does look good. I miss the gothic, but will say the trailer did a good job at making him look like a zombie raging and moving forward.

In the graphic novel, they both get killed by street criminals. His car breaks down, and they are attacked. Shelly dies absolutely brutal, and he watches it, unable to help her. The 94 version they die similar but its a tad different. She was not targeted like in the 94 film. If anything, i would have to say this looks like it has something to do with saving her soul. It looks more paranormal than the 94 version. Looks like organized demon soul barters a tad for the villains at least the main villain. Assuming he is the main villain. Im going to give it a chance. Bills a really good actor and i think this will get the younger generation to want to watch the original if they hadnt seen or heard about it.

The original that came out in 94 is a cult classic and one of the all time greatest films. I don’t know how I feel about this but it does look good. Hopefully they don’t screw it up.

This is far superior to any of the sequels with the sole exception of city of angels. Which is good. The other sequels nearly killed off the franchise lee built. I think this will revive it.

Love youse guys. As a fan of the first, see this one first. It’s definitely gorier but not as straight-up goth as the original.
