Absolutely great food on Guam. I liked TARO, BREADFRUIT. That spicy green mango slices, Also lots of Chuukese, Ponape, Palaun food thrown in the mixture on Saipan. Then Japanese and Korean food all excellent.

That's why they are so culturally similar.

@@TropicShade Exactly... And it also applies to all Pacific Islanders who emigrated from Indonesia/Malaysia. They sailed out to find new homes in the Pacific circa the year 5000 BC. Look up Austronesia (Language, People, Culture, etc.). As a Pacific Islander, I learned it in 2009 and I fully embraced it. I am very proud of my history and my Indonesian/Malaysian ancestors.

My ancestors come from the historical lands of the Bohemian Crown ruled by Bohemian kings... a land known only for kolaches, goulash, and bread dumplings! lol

Filipino food is mostly boring, too sweet, and not fun to eat.

While I agree that much of it doesn't appeal to me, I do like the soups, lumpia, pancit, and a few other dishes. I tend to stay away from the Kawali and all that fat-fried stuff.

While it's true that Guam, along with the rest of the Mariana and Caroline islands, were treated by Spain as part of their colony in the Philippines, Guam was never part of or a possession of the Philippines. The very similar cultures were both heavily influenced by the Spaniards.
