Day one on the Cumbria Way. Ulverston to Beacon Tarn.
We missed our train by 2 minutes, which in the end cost us 2 hours. An hour wait for the next train, then a 50 minute or so change over in Barrow-in-Furness.
The trail out of Ulvertson is not difficult, easing you into the week's walking nicely. However, there are times where you could easily miss a turn, get lost or switch off and go a wrong way. Double checking the map/GPS is definatelty a good idea on this section, at least up until you reach the National Park boundary.
