Love it even with all the clammed guitar notes. Proves it's live and it's real.

Unlike many of their tv appearances they are actually singing.

the amazing thing is that you can look up a current live video and he still sounds the same if not better

I remember when the Cure were fun and you never knew what genre their next song would be. Good times.

amazing how robert’s voice really hasn’t changed that much! of course he was better in his day, but listening to their live shows in 2018/2019 robert can still belt a note

I think a measure of a great band is that they define the sound, the sound does not define them, and because of that they can play many styles of music!

Great. I remember taping this at the time. Sadly this was the last ever song to be played on The Tube.
@TravisBickle19637 жыл бұрын
Do you still have your tapes or are they long gone?
@miketunky22777 жыл бұрын
Sadly no. I taped every UK TV performance they did from 1983 up to the early 90's but i think they all got binned at some point.

The second time I saw it strike I saw it at sea It lit up all the fish like rain And rained them down on me For a second that boat was still afloat Then everything went black Left it underwater And I never went back

Hot Hot Hot!!! has some of the most clever pop lyrics Robert has ever written. They're simple to memorize, because if you sing along you'll notice how easily they just roll off the tongue and make perfect conceptual sense. Highly underrated song and one of their very best pop tunes.

How do you go from having the coolest hair land makeup of the 80's to his hairstyle now! At least he still sings the songs right instead of trying to mess them up fresh and new like most retro acts.
@musicalmelodies35952 жыл бұрын
Part of it might be because he's balding so he's trying to keep that messy long look to try to preserve a "full headed" look but who knows exactly. You're spot on with him at least sticking to performing his songs naturally without "modernizing" them like some other acts of that era

The first emo band
@mothhh21144 жыл бұрын
What how
@newwavepop4 жыл бұрын
the first emo bands came out of hardcore punk. im not sure when or where all the modern mopey bands called emo now came from. the term describes a very different thing now than it did back in the mid late 80s.
@TheMeestLord4 жыл бұрын
Emo is a bastardization of imitation of an attempt at what they do. They are far beyond that. Emo is the illegitimate half sibling of Goth which the Cure is associated with to an extent. But they even transcend that classification. They are as they have always been- uniquely their own thing.
