I was never a huge Cure fan, never disliked them and always respected the talent. Now as a father I play this song for my daughters when i pick them up from school on Fridays and it s a huge hit for us all. It is so magical and fun. Also as an adult it reminds me of how fun love can be even at my old age. i have grown more respect and admiration to other Cure songs too. You all rock. The week before my wife passed, she didn’t eat a thing. The day before she died, I woke up in the middle of the night to find her in the kitchen eating a piece of toast. My god it was such a beautiful sight.

I managed to get her tickets to the concert in Atlanta for all of us to go to. Let’s just say that my mom is very happy❤️

Oh God, I can’t believe I found it. The intro from this song was always playing during the morning news on a local radio station where I lived when I was a little kid. I heard it almost every day before school for several years and I really loved it. When I grew up I tried to found it but didn’t know how. I even tried humming it to Shazam, but obviously it didn’t work. 😅 And now 20 years later all of the sudden KZfaq recommended this video to me. Friday 14th of April 2023 afternoon. Walking around Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. First day there, trip with a group of friends, having great time. Stopped to grab a coffee. Inside that store was playing this particular song. I knew it before but did not impress me at all, I actually completely underestimate it. However, this time hit differently. Was enjoying the moment, was feeling "in love" with that Friday. Its magical the way music evolves in your inner soul without even noticing. How it affects your emotions. Hopefully one day feeling "in love" with the whole weekdays

3 may 2023 still the best friday song ever...........

This song has really bittersweet memories for me. I first heard it when I moved to Sheffield for university in 2010 and my flatmate introduced The Cure to me during freshers week. We were both doing geography and ended up spending nearly all of our time together. We'd listen to this song every night when we were getting ready to go out and it never got old. One Friday night we were in Leadmill and this song came on, she was at the bar and I was coming out of the bathroom and it was our instinct to both find each other and dance to it. We were so happy. She passed away in a car accident a couple of months later. I can't hear this song without seeing her face in that club. It's so mundane but it was genuinely one of the happiest moments of my life. I love you Gabby, and still miss you every day.
