The Great Robert sings from his soul. Respect to a great artist.

Saw him perform this in NOLA in 2016 and it moved me so. It became the song that defined last year for me. Lost my parents 4 months apart...and my aunt 2 weeks after. This song describes our last visits so succinctly.

Quand j'ai compris que ma femme me quittait à tout jamais , quand j'ai perdu la mort d'un ami proche , cette chanson je l'ai écoutée en boucle , merci Robert.

I have loved the Cure since I first saw them in Crawley in 79. But never more than now. The London show was a complete blast and this song is a thing of beauty and a lesson to every other veteran band in how to keep the flame not just alight but brighter than ever. Robert is an utter hero and joy and I look forward to seeing him still blowing everyone else out of sight in 10 years time

it can never be the same - the best unreleased song.. by any band.. & pornography - awesome to see them play that live.. they didn't even do that enough in 1982!

So beautiful... Lord knows how Robert made it through the first song... A tribute to his beloved mother Rita... So emotional for him... Love how Simon comforted him at the end, when he shed a few tears. This is why we love these guys so much!

Dieser Song war für mich schon beim ersten Hören so vertraut, ein Allzeit-Klassiker. Live erlebt in Berlin und Leipzig 2016, unvergesslich ... Danke Robert.

Heard the first chords and was like" oh shit, how come i never heard this song before ?! Being a long time fan , I was looking for the original recording and realise that it was a new song...for his mum. The song is heartbreaking and a pure Cure song. Loved them since 1987 and still love them. This song will be ours when Robert will...nope. Don't even want to think about it.

This particular song is very emotional for Robert. I like how Simon pats his shoulder @ the end. I believe it was written after his mom died.

there's a cover band who covered this song and the singer dedicated it to his late mother. (you can find that song here on youtube) i think one person confused that and since then it's been retold over and over again bcause it sounds quite convincingly

AMAZING video quality. Thank u so much for capturing this 1st encore so well. It was a great show. I uploaded The Snakepit from this show & If Only Tonight We Could Sleep from the 6/22 show @ Merriweather. The video quality isn't amazing like this but they still sound damn good. Drop by for a listen, Cure fans! Thanks again, uploader. You did a truly amazing job.

I uploaded If Only Tonight We Could Sleep from the Merriweather show. Not pristine video quality like this but it still sounds very good. Just wanted to be able to share it w/fellow Cure fans. Drop by for a listen! It was a great show. I still can't decide if I preferred 6/19 @ MSG or 6/22 @ Merriweather. I slightly preferred the MSG setlist but I think they played many of the same songs better @ Merriweather. I wish I could just say "fuck work" & follow them around from show to show. The Cure is back and as good as ever with this 2016 tour. Every show has a great setlist.
