Those little synth melodies are awesome. And the ‘up down’ synth bass that was very popular at the time
@AvanaVana21 күн бұрын
Because you only need to hold two fingers down and set the tempo on a bass instrument like Roland’s SH101 and the arpeggiator will construct the baseline for you. It’s a lot of fun, easy to change the baseline just by holding different chord patterns, and it sounds great and makes people dance.

I called you after midnight Then ran until I burst I passed the howling woman And stood outside your door We walked around the lake And woke up in the rain And everyone turned over Troubled in their dreams again Visiting time is over And so we walk away And both play dead then cry out loud Why we always cry this way? I kissed you in the water And made your dry lips sing I saw you look Like a Japanese baby In an instant I remembered everything, everything, everything I called you after midnight Then ran until my heart burst I passed the howling woman And stood outside your door I kissed you in the water And made your dry lips sing I saw you look Like a Japanese baby In an instant I remembered everything, everything, everything Take me for a walk Take me for a walk Let's go in the water Take me for a walk

But in a way it does because you can compare anything and find a similarity of anything for example this song has a similar disco beat to Blue Monday. Couldn't make the July 21, 1983 show, so the band asked Phil Thornalley, who'd produced their 1982 album Pornography, to step in for him. He would remain their bassist through November 1984, after which time Robert and Simon Gallup began healing old wounds, with help from Gallup's Fools Dance roadie buddy Gary Biddles. Porl, meanwhile, did rejoin The Cure in early 1984 on guitar, keyboards _and_ saxophone.

@@mikehardy2418 They fired him after he'd destroyed a hotel room while the band were in Japan in October 1984. He also caused trouble for the band while in France five months earlier, which was at the same time Robert had parted ways with Siouxsie & the Banshees due to exhaustion from playing with three different bands at once (Robert's doctor was shocked about his health, and wrote him a note saying he had to rest; Robert then sent that over to the Banshees as proof of his leaving that group). The third band Robert was in was called The Glove, which he formed with Banshee Steve Severin; their Blue Sunshine LP featured Andy on drums.
