Goosebumps. The Cure is one of the few bands during their wave time who could touch the human soul in a special way with their slow, melancholic songs. Time seems to stand still for the duration of the song. “Trust” proves this impressively. See also the songs: The Funeral Party, Sinking, Apart and Faith.

I saw the Wish Tour in Philadelphia in 1993. I went by myself with a broken collar bone. I was a fan of the Cure then but after seeing this concert with songs like this I was amazed. I had never seen anything that good before. That was it...I put everything down and have been a complete fanatic since that day. 25 years later and I still love them, even more now. I'm so glad they were with me for all that time.

In a world that can be so literally fucked-up, people being so cruel and hateful towards one another, songs like this remind us that not all is lost! The late 80's and early 90's were such a different time. A lifetime ago now. Robert's music is so timeless, pure and innocent. As long as we have it we can close our eyes and be 25 again!

Sei nelle mia ossa, sei il Paradiso, la sostanza di esistenza, niente puo' descrivere una sola Anima ❤ niente. Niente puo' descrivere l'infinito di una Donna che ha conosciuto l' Amore insieme a te. As tears force out of my eyes, this song reminds me why I feel a sense of pride when my 16 year old daughter says that to see the Cure live would make her life feel complete... I still remember being 12 years old listening to Boys Don't Cry and feeling that there was something cool here.. Once Standing on the Beach came out I was completely hooked... The way that each album after that had a completely new feeling has always amazed me, with every album having emotive and dark feeling songs that give those depressed moments in life (especially the teen years) a place to feel home instead of alone. Having only seen them live once for the Wish concert in '95, I could see them a hundred more times; I loved that there's not a lot of crap in between songs, they just start the next song and take us further into their world. To see them with my kids would be amazing to say the least; I hope we get the opportunity, not at some festival, but a real concert where the sound fills you from all around, the only way to hear the Cure... anyway just a moment of thoughts...

And yes, having been lucky to have lived my teenage years through The Cure, the memories come flooding back and I smile at the overly sensitive, heartfelt, melancholy teenager!. Now, reaching 40 and hearing it all again with my daughter. It always sends out the comforting message that it's ok to be weird : ) Strangely comforting x
