My mom drove by Mt. Saint Helens just hours before it erupted, and only then she started suffering from treatment resistant depression for decades after until cancer destroyed her. My life also started trending negatively after I drove by Helens. I don't believe the curse, but I also don't disbelieve. Seems odd this great video would get so few views after going to Helens. Thanks for the video, big D! We will break this curse if there is one.

I climbed St. Helens as a freshman in highschool. Its a pretty doable climb and you get to say you reached the peak of a mountain.

I went as a HS student on a guided hike but they wouldn't let us go to the top. There was some stupid and probably good reason why. I remember they had closed the visitor center outdoor "theater" at the time. Maybe there was a risk 😅 Who knows, maybe they just didn't want some kid to push another kid in. I wish I could remember why the outdoor part was closed 🤔

I'm 71 now and as a child, my family and I often camped on the shores of Spirit Lake, I graduated from a small boarding school, St. Marys Academy, in Toledo Wa. I've always had a deep love for the mountain and her surrounding forest. In spite of tramping her trails and living in her shadow, I've never felt cursed, just blessed to have been able to live near enough to have her as a foundation for so may wonderful memories.

I climbed to the top a few years ago with my then teenage son. It was was awesome! It took us 10 hours, start to finish and had to walk through that last stretch in the woods at full dark. Terrified of the dark, multiple blisters on feet, sore muscles for a week but totally worth it.

This episode was a lot of fun, considering it's right near me! I've been to the St. Helens observatory (I was told that's 14 miles from the base), Ape Caves, and the Indian Flats Campground where I swam in the Tootle River, which was a lot of fun because the bottom of the river is coated with cooled lava, so today it's slick like a water slide. Thanks for making this episode, and giving me a bucket list item of something to do around here before I leave this place. I've always wanted to see the caldera, so it was fun getting to see that, too.

About 30 years ago I went on a guided hike up there. The visitor center was quaint. Well we didn't go that high, but as high as they would let normal people go. All of those knocked down trees were insane. I lived through the explosion of it in Oregon. When covid happened I told people it remimded me of St Helen's and they were like wtf? It was because i have vivid memories of everyone wearing masks.

I live in Battle Ground just miles from it and see it every day. I've had a lot of weird paranormal experiences here and wonder if there's a connection. It doesn't help that my dad's side of the family is the Clarks. So I try to reverse it with making healing potions and honoring the earth by gardening. I apologize for the carelessness of my ancestors and want to undo the damage in any small way I can. Just a side note: I had a whole series of UFO sightings near there at Conboy Lake in 1984. I wonder if the aliens saw that from space and were taking samples of the changed land.

Okay. So he is not the only one that had photos and witnessed the eruption of mount saint helens. There was a man who survived the identical situation period they said his name was Dave Crockett. He had photos in everything and fought his way out of there and actually made it. I literally just watched the short. And it was terrifying.

As a native mt Saint Helens-ain.....i have climbed it numerous times...and the only thing that has happened is my 3rd testicle fell off, and i ended up getting drunk and having a great night with my sister. So all in all, not a cursed Mountain.
