Yea true but the scratches got covered mostly by the airbag cover

So you just cut the wires from the old plug, exposed the copper and just put insulating tape around it?

i de-pinned it from the new airbag, inserted them into the female pins from the harness. You can also get an adapter for it from dudescustomparts but itll take some time to come in.

I have an aftermarket carbon fiber evo 8 steering wheel for my 2g , I also bought the air bag plug adapter is that all I need to install the wheel? I’m not sure if my carbon fiber steering wheel came with the middle circular part

send me the wheel and i'll see :P was the wheel /splines made for the 2G? if not, you'll need the conversion bracket as well, you could buy it from dudes-custom-parts, but it'll take probably a month. The circular part is the ring that holds the airbag in so you should have/get that too

I just did mine. But Got the SRS light on with the adapter. Did you get any SRS light on with this swap ? 😊

no SRS light. hmm that's odd, airbags good? wired correctly?

@@CrispyImmy just did the plug swap with the bought adapter. But I Can see you welded the wires and bypass the swap adapter 🤔 i must try taking everything off again
