No, you’re right. The actor for Peggy is still alive. I believe the actor for Louann passed away tragically but that was a few years after cancellation. KOTH was cancelled because because they were pushing hard for the Cleveland Show. Mike Judge was pissed over the matter because this would end up being a third Seth McFarland program on Adult Swim/Fox or whatever- and would end up failing miserably. I agree, completely. The fact that the KOTH is still getting a lot of fan attention on YT and Hulu is that Proof enough that there was such a huge following of fans.

This will always be my favorite scene of the show. It perfectly encapsulates what I love about KoTH. These characters get put into some crazy situations sometimes but at the core of the show they're just a group of close friends and family living their lives and having fun. I think the show would have been a success animated or live action because the characters are so relatable.

Does anyone know of a version of this song that's just as fast paced? All my life I've heard slow depressing covers, and even now I can't find one that's upbeat.

Alan Jackson's version isn't this fast paced but it's not bad. Carson Peters, a little kid, actually does a pretty good version too.

probably versions that are more on the rock n roll side like Fogerty but none with the pure bluegrass sound that Ive been able to find. Ive searched too.

I agree....later in the show episode Bobby sells a joke to Yakov Smirnoff for $20. Bobby shows Hank the $20 bill and Hanks it out of his hands, telling him to stay out of his wallet.

@@AlejandroSanchez-pl6jw Hank doesnt see Bobby as a disappointment. It's just Bobby always takes him by surprise, and Hank just takes forever to finally come around.

It's both Peggy's fault for being soft and Hank's fault for being so reserved and scared to open up with his own son. That's why Bobby is fat and weird haha.
