I tried to repent twice to test God but I didn’t believe it. I heard a voice that said “you don’t mean it”. Then one day after watching a testimony, I truly believed in my heart. I never read the Bible but once I truly believed I heard a voice tell my heart to repent. Then I had a crazy encounter. Moral of the story, make sure you repent with a true heart and God will do the rest 🙌🏻🔥

I want to repent but something holding me back, I know it’s pride, things of this world. I keep saying I’ll repent next week and keep procrastinating. I personally went through something similar. I was on fentanyl and it took me many times trying to go to rehab, swearing i was done n relapsing, till i just kept really putting in the effort n now im clean. I'm very stubborn sometimes though so after i was off fentanyl i still smoked weed, meth, drank occasionally, watched porn, and smoked cigarettes even while attending church. God was very gracious with me and i repented one at a time. I stopped drinking and smoking meth first, then weed, porn, and finally cigarettes. It felt like i had a lot of girlfriends i had to break up with lol. My advice would be to just start somewhere, and be honest with God about any fear u might have and ask Him to send u people and content that will soften your heart.

To be saved you must "repent". The word repent in both Hebrew and Greek translates to "change mind" so in order to be saved you must change your mind from unbelief to belief in the FINISHED WORK of the Lord Jesus Christ. No where does it say in scripture to "repent of sins" to be saved. That is unbiblical. Richard Lorenzo is a false gospel preacher. God "repented" a few times in the bible and we know that God is without sin. If you trust that Jesus died and his blood covers your sin and there's nothing you can do to save yourself then you are saved. Belief doesn't mean stop sinning or to live a holy life. Jesus says there is not one who is good. Only God is good. The bible says our best works are filthy rags to the lord. The bible says that if you keep the whole law but offend in one area you are guilty of breaking the whole law . Jesus teaches that if we just think a bad thought we are already guilty of doing that. So you must trust in the Lord Alone. No works. By grace are we saved through faith and not of works least any man should boast.

A Baptist pastor told me recently you are not saved if you think you need to repent (because you are saved by grace ALONE). It's sad when these people teach errant doctrines and disregard the need for repentance. God save us sinners!

Both of you are wrong.. repent means change mind of who jesus is and of sin, accept him as lord and thats it. The only work we need to have is faith. Everything else is secondary and is NOT part of salvation. Discipleship and Salvation are seperate.. Thats why it says you need to come as little children to be saved.. Stop pointing at yourself and point on Jesus yo!

@undeniabletruth3550 To "have faith" also means to be faithful to the Lord's commandment. And clearly He did tell us that we need to repent of our sins amongst other things. Faith is established by your actions, not merely noetic thoughts only. "If you love Me, feed My sheep" saith the Lord. "When you fed the hungry and clothed them, you fed and clothed Me" saith the Lord. Clearly, faith requires ACTION, and faith without works is DEAD!

All born-again believers who truly accept Christ as their Lord and Savior will naturally grieve and turn away from sin, it’s not a work, but rather you love Jesus so much and is so thankful for salvation that you get rid of all the filthiness in your life that He took upon Himself and freed us from. The more you look AT Jesus and the closer you get to Him you become more and more like Him, naturally. That’s why I don’t consider repentance a work because it’s not done in anyone own strength it’s the power and conviction of the Holy Spirit when He comes into you. When I was baptized in the Holy Spirit I literally got up and flushed my weed down the toilet, IMMEDIATELY. The revelation of the cross should move you towards holiness.

@@liquidh5226 Faith is the work. Repent of sin is nowhere found in the entire Bible. To be saved is easy. Follow the will of the father which is believing in Jesus. Everything else is Discipleship. It is very important to differentiate between salvation and discipleship. Of course following old testament teaching is wise and good i am not deniying that! I dont like that people make it so hard to be saved and twist scripture that works are part of salvation! Which clearly its not!!!VERY DANGEROUS!!! The work is the faith which has to be Legit. We are all sinners... being a saint can only be done by repenting (agree with god with what sin is) thru christ. All our lives is about being more like christ (holy spirit is there for that guidance) but we will never be completly like him cause he his that he his. We will never be perfect but we HAVE to reconize that we are just dust without HIM. Thinking "i am perfect" is pride. I vape (smoked cigarette for 11 years now vaping for 6 years) we will always need grace. The fact that you mention this in the begining of the video made me sad. Yes i can preach while vaping, the words will still come out of my mouth cause i know that i am just a man and will always need christ grace. We are all equal as humain and It is not abusing god's grace cause there is a timing for everyone and everythings. I have my vice and y'all got yours lets face the truth. Yea but don’t we ALL struggle with something ? No one is perfect we All fall short as the Bible says we ALL Fall short of gods glory … I struggle with marijuana.. and sexual immorality. I’ve come so far… I’m doing so much better with having more self control and discipline with pornography thanks to the Holy Spirit I’m no where near as bad as I use to be .. I sometimes go a month + with out it BUT I fall into temptation at times and feel ashamed when I do lose a battle. Thats just my sins I struggle with. Does that make me any different with someone struggling with anger ? Or struggling with gossip ? Cause all sin is equal in gods eyes. Like the book of acts says .. we are all saved by the same way .. by faith and the UNDESERVING grace of god !

I no longer have anger in my heart… I have more patience now… I no longer slander and judge other people. All these things I used to do I no longer do because I’m slowly dying to myself. He’s specifically talking about people who claim to be Christians but are still living in their sins and not being obedient to God, not in a right relationship with Him. John 9:31, “Now we know that God does not hear those who sin; but if anyone worships God and does His will, he hears him.” There’s a difference between someone who genuinely wants to seek and follow Jesus and obey Him v a person living in sin and not repenting of their sins yet expecting to hear Him.
