The part with the Papal atire had me laughing like crazy, can't wait to play this.

I would genuinely want some adaptation of the traveling and activities system to replace stack-micro based warfare with some system where you plan out a campaign similarly to a Grand Tour and then try to execute it with only a limited ability to pivot. A lot of the advantages of a traditional PDX stack-based system for armies aren't applicable to the period CK is set in. Siege warfare means you don't have a lot of action along an extended front where breakthroughs might happen like in HOI IV, you don't have centers of industry to manage that produce your forces like in Stellaris, and the fact that your armies are only raised when you are at war (even most professional armies in the period were stationed places) means that any downtime activities between war or army building happens outside of the stack in it's own menu since there can't be any persistent stacks. On the flip side, something where you plan out a campaign would let you model war with a lot more granularity when it comes to sieges, diplomacy and politicking, the raising of an army, military operations outside of battles and sieges, competing intents for different involved parties etc. without creating a huge micro overhead or obscuring a lot of info for the player.

This seems to be better than my already high expectations!

OPB I gotta say, this update looks amazing. I for one cannot wait to dive into all the small internal moments and interactions that until now I did not know CK3 needed. If only PDX led with the depth of content instead of the bloody wedding the community would have been behind it from the beginning. Edit: It also occurs to me that the Activities button fits nicely into the space left above the Court button. I wonder if Royal Court was the second to begin development but was closest to finished when they had to release an expansion.

Honestly looks amazing. Just hope that in the next couple of months they get a guy to work on balancing and institute some sort of standards with prestige, piety and other numbers. The game isn't as fun when it's like this. One idea I had was if you had the tournament traits every additional tourney would give you some percentage less in the prestige and other values. Seems realistic too. A Duke winning two tournaments will have less prestige than one winning five, but at some point each new victory is less impressive to people watching that person. It just becomes mundane. Maybe you gain more or less prestige from the baseline if you win while being old, ect. We need a balance here.

The events seem a bit OP - like the pilgrimage completely healing you, maybe it was just incredible luck though.

Love love love this! Have been super excited for the DLC, and this just affirms my excitement. I love the flip a coin for a trait. Min-maxing can sometimes lead to a stale playthrough when you are so much stronger and optimized than the AI. Will take this into some campaigns to freshen it up!

Hey, i just played CK3 and when i had a tournament, a lordless warrior named "Rizzo" arrived to compete! He is Bavarian too...

Fun fact about the different emblems where the third color just doesn't have a color change opt for whatever reason, if you switch to an emblem that does have 3 and change the color of the third slot to what you want it to be, switching back to the emblems with 3 colors but only 2 slot changes will have the desired color.

Wit and bow are imo the best hastiluder parts.

Man I feel sad for this brave duke, he knew that his liberty faction will never achieve it's goals and yet he decided to act no matter what. That was a really solid event chain, I wish to see more things like this instead of the infamous CATAPULT event (yeah yeah, I know, I am beating a dead horse here). And I really hope that they indeed fixed the crusades (and combat AI in general) because it's probably the most weak part of the game. I know it's not a war game in it's core, but come on, the game is called CRUSADER kings but you lose the first crusade for jerusalem as catholics with 1 : 30 chance. At least it was my experience.

I would LOVE if Crusade AI got smarter. I have been really, really, really tired of Crusades failing unless I win them on my own because the AI just rams its like 1200 men at a time into some 50000 deathball as they all trickle in one by one. I can't remember the last time I saw a Crusade actually successful, if ever, it either being me having to do it ALL at once. Or a case where it was like "All of Catholicism against just one kingdom because they're the only nation of that faith in the world".

I see they still have the thing where if you make a child ruler in the Character Creator it resets you base stats back to what they are "supposed to be", even if you upped them. Wait... You stuck your thumb up a dude's butt to win a wrestling match? No wonder they call you "the dirty". It's amazing how fast you heal when you actually go to a Hospital. :p Oh, you wear your coat of arms all the time and not just at tournaments? That IS really cool.

I think is to invasive for the normal gameplay, taking the bonuses takes very long. Feel like is something you're going to invest time at first, and with the past of time will be a tedious mechanic. Like royal court, and first it was cool trying to get a lvl 10 court collect the best artifacts etc and with the past of time nobody cares.

Hosting a grand tour as a compassionate character (or perhaps a child) in an area with low development and control should have a chance for the character to see such horrible things that they decide to abdicate and become a monk like the Buddha.

Well, usually with the debug mode on, a tsunami of console commands and borderline cheat mods so that the game behaves like its wasnt coded by a bunch of unpaid interns that Paradox keeps locked in the basement and feed excusively a diet consisting of Surströmming and Akvavit.
