I think it also hard to have an actual friendship when your work relationship thrives off of one of you being put down constantly for your weight it would cause resentment to fester. So while their dynamic benefits Drake it’s no shock that on Josh’s side it seems more like a toxic friendship to be kept at an arms length and then discarded when things go downhill.

Josh deadass hung out with Drake outside of media stuff a lot. They attended awards shows together, Josh even came to support Drake while he was on ABC’s splash. I know what he said was pretty harsh but we all don't know them...Yea maybe Josh was jealous of Drake behind the scenes since Drake was the popular one while he felt hurt and the outcast by being laughed at & humiliated by his weight the reason he felt like he wasn't normal. That's completely normal in every teenage experience. And throughout the years he probably grew resentment. I can understand why he felt the way he did despite the reason when he lost weight people treated him different and is popular now. Maybe Josh wanted Drake to know how he feels to be humiliated. Maybe Josh doesn't want to be associated with Drake with all the allegations he's been involved in with him talking to a minor. He probably didn't feel the same way and looked at him as a coworker v.s how Drake looks at him as a friend. Who knows, people drift apart.
