Ah, I remember my experience with the dark sea… I first entered it through the typical east side of Ravenna, and right as I entered I had 2 magic waves immediately home in on my position. I dodged it barely, and then saw a boss meter appear. I looked to my left and saw an alpha white eyes charge at me, looked to my right and saw another white eyes charge at me, looked behind me and saw 2 more alpha white eyes chasing me. I made it to an island, only to watch my ketch get two tapped by the white eyes, whom promptly sat in the water and prevented any escape. I did not survive, as one of them FLEW onto the island and dealt 4999 damage in one bite F u n Second time was when I traveled with my friend in the brig. We entered the dark sea, and wouldn’t you know it, an alpha white eyes started chasing us down. The game then decided that my life privileges were revoked and struck me with lightning, making me no-clip through the boat and into the water. I was stuck in place, unable to move, and slowly drowning. I looked behind me and saw a giant white eye looking at me, and I took a screenshot since I knew I was dead. Thus marking the end of my second run.

My first time entering was a success tho No sharks whatsoever decided to kill me, and I got a dark sealed chest The second time, I did with my clan leader We died in a plasma tornado and a couple of round 2 sirens

Went on a solo expedition earlier and got almost 15 dark sealeds and some exquisite loot (an Atlantean Arcanium Arcsphere being the most valuable of the stuff I got, i shat myself. Tip: using a dark sea compass, the purple point goes back to Bronze Sea, white goes further into the Dark Sea, point either towards North (up based on the compass) and follow that direction. That fact alone got me a successful SOLO expedition than in a group (half the time bc of gear.) good luck.

If you want to venture further range, point white needle of dark sea compass to North. The purple needle will alway point back to bronze sea so point the needle to north if you want to escape the Dark Sea Fastest way to grind Dark Sealed Chest is Siren Nest, the amounts of chest equal to amount of Siren you have to fight. I managed to grind least 38 sealed chest in 2nd range and return safely. Only cost me 1k3 galleon to fix the ship while gain back least 2-3k from all chest

Another tip is to travel perpendicular to the needles to stay in a particular range This lets you come past more islands on that range but the amount of loot will be less than in further ranges

The real dark seas experience is going to tier 3 insanity range and finding enemy’s at level 372 and getting poisoned every 6 seconds and then losing 14 chests becuse someone i your team accidentally make one notice you and it squad wipes you

Our first expidition to the dark sea was so succesful, it was 3 in a prty , we did the best teamwork and we obtained 27 dark sealed chests and we all got atlantean wepons lol, today was awesome god i love the update

As someone who did a duo and solo, the hard part is singlehandedly fighting a White Eyes. But I killed some before in Update One. I came back with scales. The funnier part is when an Obolus tailed me prior to the 1.14.3 patch. But I have to do a Neutral challenge... which means killing the Navy, Syndicate, and Pirates alike.
