I feel happy knowing i’m not the only one who REALLY likes Super Paper Mario. That game has some really fun worlds, with banger music.

Mario RPG games (like Paper Mario, Mario & Luigi, and SMRPG) and even spin-off sports and party games has taught me that not all Mario enemy species who are part of Bowser's army that are hostile towards the plumber, but they can be friendly neighbors with the Toads and Yoshis who happened to be individuals in their own rights, let alone aiding Mario's help as their allies during his journey. That's what makes the Mushroom Kingdom look so lively and fleshed out.

I don't really think Paper Mario ever died, just a lot of the aspects that made the original three wonderful did. I honestly really like modern Paper Mario, just not as much as the original three. The gameplay or artstyle I don't really care an insane amount- I mostly enjoyed Paper Mario for the unique takes on Mario species and wacky scenarios. Especially the story. (I do want to say though that I absolutely adore the arts/crafts style that modern Paper Mario has I really don't understand how people get so up in arms about that)

To be honest the character restrictions were infinitely more of a dealbreaker to me in modern PM than the gameplay changes. I honestly wouldn't even say SPM is that much better than them in terms of gameplay, but the story and characters make it my favorite game of all time. I hope the TTYD remake means we can get everything Sticker Star killed back to stay. Crazy weird original enemies that are the same style of sprite as Mario and co, crazy variants of Mario enemies, NPCs with names, unique designs and tattles, new iterations of the Merlon clan, appearances from Whacka & Kammy Koopa, etc. The lack of all that stuff is my main complaint with modern PM. If we had that back, I'd tolerate weird new gameplay gimmicks.

As a fellow Super Paper Mario believer, I never really cared about what gameplay style the games had, but god did the character design direction for the adventure trilogy feel held back when you're used to the first three games As long as unique characters can exist again and the writing keeps improving I'll honestly be satisfied with anything they do in the future

I played paper jam a while ago it's surprisingly good imo, if you ignore the lack of inspired and creative shit that was basically what defined those series of games, but other than that, it's pretty good

Super Paper Mario went in a different direction compared to 64 & TTYD. That was the beginning of the downfall.

Paper Mario 64 has oddly so much more charm in the visuals than Thousand Year Door and also made the mushroom kingdom really feel alive, I feel like that aspect is never appreciated because “TTYD is peeeerrrfeeeect”, when I would’ve honestly preferred if TTYD kept the sprite-like characters and locations oh but the TYYD remake beats 64 in that charm by a mile by the way

super is peak and i daydream of a super remake that looks like the ttyd remake with some gameplay tweaks. anyways time to beat the ttyd remake

My first RPG was Paper Mario 64 in a emulator on a shitty spanish online games page. I rembered I liked it but i forgot to play it.

I always thought most of Modern Paper Mario wasn't that bad, I really did like Color Splash and I would've liked Origami King more if it wasn't for the bosses, it's an accessibility issue for me because I'm legally blind.

I legit think this game is worse than Hotel Mario, even if it has a better soundtrack. Hotel Mario was at least a one-off while Sticker Star was the start of a not so good era of Paper Mario Let’s hope TTYD’s remake does well enough to leave behind the Sticker Star style.

Well im actually enjoyed The Origami King, I felt that it was a very decent game. But oof, Sticker Star, I think I will never hate a game more. There are so many issues with that game that even the three hours reviews spitting on it aren't even enough to explain how many issues this game has. Im an evil hater against Sticker Star, and I can't be more proud of It. If you liked Sticker Star I actually consider you a menace and im afraid of you.
